Olivia Kearney | 1 comments Hi all,

I think i read this book in 2010-2015 (could be a couple years out). It was a Paperback book that i think i bought in Asda. It was 300ish pages. No idea what the cover looked like!!

Now onto the plot!

It is based in America in the modern day. The main character is a woman in her 20's who works for an entertainment company that interviews celebrities. They fly the celebrities in their private jet's to their remote(ish) location, and the main character will pick them up in a golf buggy and drive them to the building. One quirky scene is that she picks up this obnoxious rock star who is extremely sleazy! As they are driving, she notices that he's becoming very red in the face, and clutching his neck. She presumes he's just hot in the golf buggy as she has the sides on. Then he starts turning blue! That's when she remembers that he is deathly allergy nuts and she has a peanut butter sandwich in her handbag! (They manage to save him some how, i can't remember what happens though).

Now this main character is quite Conservative and shy(ish). She has been in love with her boss FOREVER. He finally asks her out on a date, but before they can go, his dad sends him to manage their sister company in China! His brother is then drafted in to oversee the operations in the America branch. The main female character was absolutely gutted to miss her opportunity, as she has been planning their life together since she first met him. She also has mood boards on Pinterest of what their wedding would like, what house they would live in, and what dog they would have! After he is relocated, she tries to text him but the messages never go through. So she decides to send her mood boards to him via text as it's very unlikely that he would see them and it is a sort of therapy for her.

One day, she is asked to join a meeting with the heads of departments (even though she is not anywhere near senior enough to be joining in!) She decides to go and see what they talk about. Whilst she is there, she continues to text the old bosses phone (as she is BORED in this meeting). She notices that the new bosses (the old bosses brother) phone keep pinging after she hits send. It then dawns on her that her new boss has her old bosses phone! And he has been receiving all the messages she has sent with the mood boards! She becomes extremely embarrassed and decides to make a hasty escape! When she leaves the meeting room, she notices that the new boss has gotten up to follow her. She looks at the stairs and doesn't think she can make it down them in her high heels quick enough. She also notices that the elevator has already descended so won't be able to escape that way. She then decides that the only option is to use the slide ( i know right! Like what office has a slide!! Except for Google of course). She throws her shoes down the slide, and jumps in HEAD FIRST!! As she gets to the bottom, the boss is already there and her skirt had ridden all the way up to her waist in a rolled up mess!

End scene!

I am hoping this is enough detail for you lovely lot to help me! I completely understand if this is not your usual genre or whatever but i really want to put an end to my constant wondering!! I have tried searching with key words, looking on other forums, asking library and bookstore employees, but i still have not found it 😭😭
