Ya vampire book read about a year ago. Sequel is coming out soon but I don’t remember the title or author.

A teenage girl goes to live with her father after her mother dies. I Think possibly from cancer? She lived in the city with her mother, but now she’s going to live with her father I think on an island? I want to say its somewhere in Massachusetts? But I don’t remember. Anyways to get there she had to take a ferry and her father works in the fishing industry. He is remarried and has a fabulously wealthy lifestyle now with his new wife. She has a daughter as well.
So this girl goes to live with her dad and stepmom and the stepmom and the daughter treat her like trash. I think at some point in the book they actually call her Trailor trash. She has a bedroom that goes off of the kitchen and it’s upstairs basically like maid quarters. It kind of sounds like a modern-day Cinderella but not?
Well at some point this girl is running through town on her morning jog, And makes it to a wealthier section of town. It’s this HUGE mansion that houses this family that have been on this island for generations. I think at some point she hears a car coming and she like dives into a bush or she falls into a bush and this incredibly gorgeous guy stops his car to help her out of this bush. He ends up being one of the family members that lives in the mansion and basically the story is how they fall in love.
But! ..plot twist!! He is somehow a vampire that can read her aura? Like a cloud above your head. At one point in the book this guy and this girl are having a conversation and he keeps looking above her head and she keeps getting annoyed because she Doesn’t know what he’s doing yet. So I can’t member if she asks him or if he just tells her but he tells her that he’s reading her aura. So after that part of the book the rest of the book she jokes around with him and when he asked her a question about how she’s feeling she always tells him to check her aura to see if she’s lying or not.
She gets a job at a local restaurant and also makes a friend. The restaurant is also how she gets to know this vampire boy better.
One night at the restaurant where she’s working a drunk guy comes in, and kind of harasses her. On The way home from the restaurant this drunk Guy ends up following her. I don’t remember the details clearly but somehow he ends up being some sort of evil monster and this vampire boy comes and saves her but she doesn’t really see it because vampire boy tells her to go into the house. And he takes care of it. I don’t remember all of the details I know that’s kind of fuzzy but basically the drunk guy follows her and the vampire boy saves her.
So eventually vampire boy gets to meet her dad. The day he meets the dad he also asks to take the girl out boating. The dad asks if there will be alcohol to watch vampire boy says yes because his friends are all of the drinking age but he’ll make sure that the girl doesn’t drink any alcohol. And her dad approves. And and they go on the boat trip and she really doesn’t get to drink alcohol.
So this girls wealthy stepmother is part of a club and I can’t remember the details clearly on this one either but somehow her and her friend that she met at the restaurant go to the club and her stepmom sees them there and gets mad because she thinks they’re white trash and don’t belong at the club. At some point in the book I don’t remember if it’s the first time they go to this club or if it happens at a different time, but her vampire boyfriend also has a membership at this fancy club and he tells the manager in charge, to add what ever she and her friend wants to his bill/account. And he’ll take care of everything. So after that her and her friend get to go to this fancy rich people club all the time.
There is another episode where a monster tries to attack her coming out of a person and ends up being her stepmom that is the evil person. It’s like she’s taken over by some sort of shadow or something? Kind of like the drunk guy? And her vampire boyfriend saves her from that as well I think? But I can’t remember. Sorry!
Towards the end of the book her vampire boyfriend and his friends decide to host a party at his incredibly rich famous mansion. This girl goes over to her best friends house to get ready for the dance. She really loves her best friends mom because she is very mothering and includes her in everything. They go to this party and it’s amazing and towards the end of the party I can’t remember what happened but something happens and everyone ends up in the woods and two people fall down a well, and I I think someone dies but I can’t remember? I’m sorry that part of the book is really vague and unclear while I’m trying to remember it.
The last thing I remember about the book is that her vampire boyfriend didn’t want to be a vampire, and this is all kind of hazy in my brain as well. But somehow he dies as a vampire but comes back after he dies and somehow it makes him different. I can’t remember if that has something to do with how he can read peoples auras or if he has some other magical something that I can’t remember? But the belief in their family is that vampire boy has now tipped the scales of good and evil and now there’s too much good in the world because he’s a good vampire. So evil is trying to fight him....? Or something? I also think he glows...? But only when being rid of the dark monsters....?
I know some of those details are vague! But I’m hoping you guys can help me figure out what book this is because I really want to read the second one and it was supposed to come out sometime this year or last year and I really want to read them both again! If you guys could please help me out if anyone has any ideas you guys would be my heroes! Thanks in advance!!!!!
