i read the book in 2010 or 2011 when i was in middle school and never got to read the sequels (it is a trilogy i believe) and it has always bothered me. The plot as i can remember it is the boy finding the robot alien spider things in his attic and having to keep them a secret and they follow him to school and stuff, but then he either helps them save their world or they help him save his world i cant remember which and then at the end he is forced to go with him into their dimension. the book i had was very old so i think it was written in the 90s or early 2000s.
