Nayara (nayalink) | 630 comments We're getting a task today (it's the same for every team). Once we all finish it, we need to check in here and Kat will give us the next task.

message 52: by Nayara (new)

Nayara (nayalink) | 630 comments We have our first task!

0. Each teammate reads a book initially published in a fall month, teams decide which month.

As a team select a fall month. Fall this year is from September 22 through December 21 - so you may select September, October, November or December, then everyone reads a book initially published in the selected month of any year. For this task, use the initial publication date. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page - use it! Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected month in your completion posts.

message 53: by Nayara (new)

Nayara (nayalink) | 630 comments I vote for September, but I think that I can find a book published on the other months.

message 54: by Jodi (new)

Jodi (jojolyn) | 451 comments September works for me.

message 55: by Mariem (new)

Mariem | 55 comments September works for me too (but i don't mind any other month).

message 56: by Christina T (new)

Christina T (crysteena73) | 1705 comments September it is!

Christina T (crysteena73) | 1705 comments We just have to decide on -

9. The same series
I like the idea of the library one you suggested...The Green something?

49. Same month and year
I'm ok with any month how about 2018?

50. Same location
(bare in mind that New York is a task already)
London/England

------

56. Over 100 book romance list-

*We need to decide between -
- Best Book Boyfriends (9548 books)
- Romance Books Everyone Should Read (2669 books)
- Best Books of the Decade: 2000s (6953 books)
Best Book Boyfriends
------

58. Read 6 books published in the year one of the teammates joined RRRC.

*We need to pick a year

Tink - 2015
Mariem - 2021
Christina - 2015
Nayara - 2019
Jodi - 2012
I like either 2015 or 2019
--------

For -
53. Each teammate reads a book set in one of your teammates' home town (born in, raised in, currently live in - all work), teams decide. No pass for this task.
Tink - Kent/England
Mariem - Tunisia/Africa
Christina - Iowa
Nayara - Brazil
Jodi - Columbus/ Ohio

We each need to pick one
I like Ohio...thanks for the links Jodi...it helped a lot
----------

1. The same author and 51. Same author (different books)

*We need to pick. So far we have -

Elle Kennedy - 30 books - Contemporary/New Adult
Kristen Callihan - 28 books - Contemporary/ Paranormal
Kresley Cole - 30 books - Fantasy/Paranormal
Sarina Bowen - 30 books - Contemporary and has a MM series

I have some Elle Kennedy that I've been trying to push to the top of my TBR so my vote is for her
-------------

93. As a team, pick a Romance List from GR Listopia with less than 100 books on it, each teammate reads a book from that list. No pass for this task. -

Christina T (crysteena73) | 1705 comments Top 5....this is always so hard. So I went with the ones I've read that earned 5 stars from me in the last 2 years. I also tried to come up with 5 not all the same sub-genre

The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune (sort of a romance...well there is a budding romance in it anyway)

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

The Hunter by Kerrigan Byrne (book 2 in the historical romance series but slightly better than the first book which is still highly recommended by me. It's a darker historical romance with damaged characters...just an FYI not like Lisa Klaypas, Julie Garwood, or Julia Quinn historicals.)

Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs (If you like audiobooks Holter Graham makes this book really come alive.)

Gone Too Far by Suzanne Brockmann (this is book 6 of the trouble shooters and the first one I gave a full 5 stars to. The others were high 4s except it took me 2 tries to get into the first book.)

Tink Magoo is bad at reviews (tinkmagoo) | 1388 comments I'm just off on the school run and then I'll update the task list again with our decisions.

Remember to use the kindle first edition in your completion post.

It's a good one to start with :)

I just finished the first book in the Busy Bean series yesterday. I liked it and plan to continue on with the series. I didn't know there were so many books. I think the Speakeasy series would work too.
