I just looked and we are one away from every single creature now! Excited to nab some of them!
We've caught a dragon! I just finished my book club book and it is definitely a red cover:

I added The Commodore for the main character with a pet (I'd forgotten Maturin's potto in this one!) and The Last Beautiful Girl on paranormal, though that could certainly also get moved to the long hair prompt if needed. I'm reading Silence in the Library now, and I'd say it counts for long hair, though it's up in a bun for this image, right?
And I'm glad Emily, you have The Guncle going, because I could not find a yellow covered book in my upcoming tbr for the life of me, lol.

A bun definitely means long enough hair I think. I clicked and stared at that silhouette since it looked like a head with two faces!

Some day I’ll finish a book, I swear! By the time that happens, they will probably only count for pages and hours, oh well!
We can get multiples of each monster (except the Sphinx), so the books we finish later on will still count. I finished a short book on Sunday but it looks like it’ll be at least two or three days before I finish either of the two I’m reading. I’m glad we have some very prolific readers on our team—you all rock!

And we got an Ogre!Does someone have a book with a yellow cover? I've looked through my library books and unread Kindle books and couldn't find one.
I finished Greenwood at 505 pages! Not sure which category is best to slot it into, but I updated all the options on the Plans tab.

I noticed that we had The Lost Apothecary on Banshee but it's missing now. Did someone move that on purpose? I don't see it on any of the other prompts, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't accidentally removed.
I’ll finish The Girl with the Louding Voice tomorrow, and can put it in fiery character if we are working on another dragon.

I think I put it as completed by accident but I'm not finished!
I'll finish Arsenic and Adobo tonight, think I'll put it in the source of light category (fire is a source of light) since Kathryn's source of light has a bunch of options and we have quite a few people reading books that fit long hair.I should finish The Expats on the road tomorrow and was thinking of slotting it into red cover, though it can be for OGRE or NORBERT as well.
Will start Woman in Berlin for black and white cover tomorrow, and probably won't start my next physical book until Friday since I'm spending tomorrow with my brothers.
Didn’t get a lot of reading in today, but I’ve got several hours in airports and on planes tomorrow, so I’m hoping to finish a couple of books in that. Not sure if I’ll be able to read a lot (or check in here much) on Friday and Saturday as I’ll be bridesmaiding it up at a friend’s wedding, but hopefully some more on Sunday on my flight home before this whole thing wraps up!
I just finished my book, One Fell Sweep. I wasn’t sure where to put it since it fit a bunch of categories but since there were so few books planned that take place in a rural town, I put it there. I can easily move it to long hair, OGRE, light source, or NORBERT if anyone thinks that would be better.
Only 64 pages yesterday - ironically, going to my Book Club meant I read very little.

I have a little less than 100 pages left of The Guncle, so if I don't finish it before bed tonight, I will finish in the morning and we can cross Sphinx off of our list!
Laurel, what book did you read for book club? My Book Club books are hit and miss, but usually ones I wouldn't pick for myself.
It was The Coddling of the American Mind: How Good Intentions and Bad Ideas Are Setting Up a Generation for Failure - not the usual choice of our group (we tend more to literature or history), but we had a good discussion. I felt the authors had some good points, but overstated their propositions.
I finished The Heart Principle and added to Banshee so another on of those bites the dust!Now I search for another book I can finish in a few days....

I realized that I had a book in my TBR with an animal paw print:
so I’m reading it now. I’ve been meaning to read it for years so I’m excited to have an excuse to get to it. I saw that Traci has an animal print on the plan but figured it would be nice to have a extra.
Works for me! I might put more focus on my physical book that's a green cover option then. Though really, who knows!

I was kind of thinking no and found another, but this one would work for another challenge.
Also I have 10 audiobooks sitting in overdrive right now, will do a purge on Sunday!

Perri, Guncle was so good... like laugh out loud funny but also sentimental and sweet. I really enjoyed it.
I'm going to start another book but I have lots on the agenda so I don't know if I'll get through it by tomorrow.
Do you think this rug would qualify as a zebra print for the animal print prompt?

Anyone reading a prompt for the OGRE? If not, we could move One Fell Sweep from rural to OGRE and The All of It from death to rural. I'll finish a green cover tomorrow, might get another audio in too, not sure what. I think Kathryn is reading a book for animal print.
I woke up feeling under the weather and the weather is also under the weather, so it's turning into a pretty good reading weekend for me (a lot has been listening today).
I got less reading done today than I had hoped for but I have about 100 pages left of my book with an animal print so I’ll definitely finish it tomorrow!
By the way, did you like The Flatshare? I read that one earlier this year and enjoyed it.
Don't think I'll be getting much more reading done with this lovely fall weather. So much fun to meet other book lovers and THANKS to Emily for being our fearless leader! Emily, I don't know how you manage to do so much so well, but I'm so appreciative!

Hi team it’s been fun reading wit you. I have come down with. Stomach bug an all the sleep is getting in the way of reading. I finished His & Hers but not sure where it might come in handy
I don't think I’ll be able to finish my book today, too nice outside! But it has been fun!
