Finished A Deadly Education a really good story. 4.5 stars it gets a 4. Also finished The Whispering Dead A good solid 4 star. While many aspects of the story were left unanswered. The tale was good enough to continue the series. It was really good. Now moving on to The Last Graduate.
After stampeding through Murderbot #3-#6 in about a week, I decided to take a (possibly ill-considered) revisit to my childhood, beginning with Jungle Tales of Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Currently reading The Kingdom of Copper. I already like it much more than The City of Brass. I'm way more invested in the characters now.
I finished The Ten Thousand Doors of January. It wasn't what I expected, but I did end up really liking it.I'm now starting To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. My brother got it for me as a gift a while back and he recently asked if I read it because he wants to borrow it. So, now I've been guilt tripped into reading it. Seems to have mixed reviews though, so I'm going in with lowered expectations.
Well, I couldn't continue To Sleep in a Sea of Stars because I ran into a printing error with missing pages. Super frustrating. :/ At this point though, I'm not sure I want to get another copy because the writing wasn't that great. My new book is now Senlin Ascends.
January was a great reading month for me.Cytonic ★★★★★
Gutter Mage ★★★★★
The Ten Thousand Doors of January ★★★★
Evershore ★★★★

I have read only a pinch of magic so far...but it was just great! I can't wait to read the rest of them! :D
After reading another set of Tarzan books (the new editions from the Edgar Rice Burroughs Authorized Library, which have lots of nice bonus materials) -- Jungle Tales of Tarzan, Tarzan the Untamed and Tarzan the Terrible -- I decided it was finally time to try some Matthew Hughes (an author who works very much in the tradition of Jack Vance) with his novel Majestrum.
Finally getting through Shadows of the Apt, up to book 7. Certainly is unique. Just finished The Sea Watch and was by far the strangest yet haha
I’m currently reading Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, I’m slowly working my way through the Cosmere.
I'm a bit late for this, but here are my January reads:The Well of Ascension 4/5
The Priory of the Orange Tree 5/5
Daughter of the Deep 4/5
Aurora's End 5/5
The City of Brass 3/5
Morning Star 5/5
Dreams of Gods & Monsters 5/5
Skyward 5/5
Six Crimson Cranes 3/5
The Kingdom of Copper 4/5
Wintersong 3/5
It's been a great reading month, I finished a couple trilogies and progressed on others. The Priory of the Orange Tree was definitely my favorite read this month.
Last night I finished Ruin and Rising. Certain things didn't play out the way I wanted them to, but I did overall really enjoy this trilogy.
Rereading The Name of the Wind (paperback), I'm half done with Frey (kindle) and listening to the audiobook version of Debt of Bones. To be fully honest, the only book I'm actually enjoying is a reread one, even more so than the 1st time around but I'm determined to finish the other two as well.
I just finished Where the Drowned Girls Go. I thought it was pretty good, although the story did seem just a little bit pointless. Now I'm starting Temper.
Finished The Lost Apothecary. It was a good solid 4 stares. A really interesting historical fantasy type book. It was really interesting in the way it was written in three different characters viewpoints all tied together through with an Apothecary. I have just started A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking, it is really good so far.
I finished Senlin Ascends. Amazing book in so many ways. Really loved it.Now reading not sff, but Homicide and Halo-Halo.
Finished The Swords of Lankhmar, read Garth Nix's Sir Hereward and Mister Fitz: Three Adventures (it's short; a collection of three short stories) and started some in-the-spirit-of-old-school sword & sorcery with William King's Defiler of Tombs, second in his series of self-published novels about Kormak the Guardian.
I forgot to mentioned I finished The Last Graduate. It was really good. Not as good as the A Deadly Education but still pretty good for a second book. Also finished A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking. It was great. It was such a fun read.
Also finished Empire of Wild. Even though this was a really good story and I enjoyed it, there were certain elements that were just a tad Christophobic.
What I finished in February. Been really enjoying what I've been reading so far this year.Ruin and Rising ★★★★
Where the Drowned Girls Go ★★★★
Senlin Ascends ★★★★★
I’m in three books: I just can’t settle to one.
