As we rapidly head toward the end of the year, it's time for everyone to nominate a book for our October 2021 group read.

We'll continue on with our different tasks each month:

For October's read we are looking for A book which is TRANSLATED from another language
So, nominate a crime/mystery/thriller/suspense book to cover October's task :)

Don't forget - 1st in a series, if a series

This thread will be open until 10th September, then nominations will go to the vote.

Authors and publishers, please don't nominate your own work!

You're right Brenda. I forgot that for some reason the first two haven't been translated into English, just the next nine. I'll have look for another one :)

Great choice Kylie! I'd vote for it if I hadn't already read it. Such a good series!

Phrynne from what I can see the Keigo Higashino book The Devotion of Suspect X is marked as #3 in the Inspector Galileo series, and appears the first 2 were not translated into English?
As we have to step on board with the series somewhere, and I thnk it would be a great read, I fine to see it nominated. It is a little confusing as the book is notes as Book 1 in some places.

Thanks Lisa. Yes the place I picked it up from said it was the first book in the series but I should have checked it here on Goodreads where it is indeed book three. I am going to leave it on my personal want to read list but take it out of the running here.
