"The Selection" by Kiera Cass is a young adult fiction, dystopia, and fantasy novel. In this dystopia young women can be selected to compete to win the crown and prince Maxon. Although the main character, America Singer does not want the crown or the price. Even so she still ended up in the competition. Then while starting the competition she began to question every decision she made.

At first when I was reading this book I got hooked instantly because of the different dystopia. I was surprised even with the events that were occurring at the beginning. I couldn't even put the book down for a section and I ended up finishing it in one day. Although I wasn't completely satisfied with the ended of the book. At least though there is a second book and I am looking forward to reading it.
