I’m once again the Fantasy Writer of the Day on the largest speculative fiction community in the world (you know which one that is), today celebrating the release of my 2nd novel, Sound of Stone.

Cheers! -Erik

I'm mainly looking to be more active on book clubs, and get more into discussions with people as I want to hopefully be an author and improve my understanding of the fantasy genre.

Yeah I am pretty much the same - except I ONLY lurk ... I know I know. geek_moe is shy what can I do

Hi Joe, Reddit.com is a site where people can post links and comment on them, and there are sections of it called "subreddits" like r/Fantasy, which can be reached at www.reddit.com/r/fantasy
These days we primarily use the Goodreads group to connect with each other on here as well as link to our various book clubs we have going on.

I'm Daniel, a new member of /r/Fantasy and goodreads. I'm a new fantasy reader and I think that this will be the percet place to expand this new hobby.
I'm a non-native English speaker, maybe I can't read as fast as all you members, but I try and enjoy the process.
Regards!
Edit: I'm "danpalval" on reddit

In what's possibly a very misguided reading goal for 2019, I've decided to try and read at least one online book club selection within the month that it's assigned- I got 1/12 for Books and Boba last year, so I figure I can do better, though my to-read pile is very long... I also figure actually using the bingo board will help widen my reads!

I'll upvote and read as much as I can and hopefully dash a few comments here and there ;)
Feel absolutely free to add me as a friend on here, I'm always curious to see what everyone's reading/enjoying!

I am soon moving to my own apartment. And then I expect to read a lot more than I currently do. I also join Goodreads and I will gradually add all the books I've read over the years to my page.
Fell free to add me. Just be aware that I might be a bit slow on this site.

I did read some novels while in college in the late 90's but since leaving college and getting married and the like I had stopped reading for the better part of the next decade and a half.
I finally started reading again last year after we had a music service issue at work were we basically had none. Thus I turned to audible and listening to audio books. After which I also started reading physical books in the evening.
So after reading maybe a handful of books in the last 18 years, I read nearly 80 last year alone, and already 7 more this year.

Thanks! See you around, guys! :)

I'm I a big fan of magic and the implications of the world in my fantasy. Or an idea impact on the world in Science Fiction.

I really just made an account on Goodreads so I can track my just-published book, but then I found out that the r/Fantasy reddit has this group.
Feel free to add me as a friend!

I mostly lurk so far but also like to talk to people liking these genres as much as I do.
Hit me up for any buddy reads, I love them ! (Currently reading Black Leopard, Red Wolf)

Heyyyyy
Fellow baguette !

I know that icon. Moomins!
I think that's Little My. Might be her sister.
Someone should do a review of Tove Jansson on r/fantasy.

IRL I'm a physician and have experienced a pretty profound dark period in which I didn't read much beyond textbooks during my training, but after finishing training and having discovered the ease of finishing books through a combo of my Kindle and Audible sub I am hoping to get back into the habit. Here to participate in the monthly book clubs as well as get caught up on series missed out on. Looking forward to discussing with all of you!

My name is Daniel and my Reddit user is dsepulveda416.
I recently joined Reddit and I couldn't miss the Fantasy thread.
I mostly read Fantasy and Thrillers, and I'm willing to learn more about this genre and meet other fantasy fans here!

I'm from France, currently living in Paris, and I'm happy to see there are some other baguettes here! Feel free to hit me up if you want to talk about the local author square for bingo, I've been doing some research 😁

I'm a fantasy reader going way back, and in addition read SF, westerns, historical fiction, and so on.
I live in Japan, and am a freelance Japanese to English translator as well. See you around!
Hi, I'm u/WaffleDynamics. I just joined goodreads so I could follow along with the Warrior's Apprentice book discussion, and also to see what interesting books others are reading.

My reddit user name is u/mutantspicy I've been lurking on fantasy sub for a couple years but the last few months starting commenting and posting here and there. The fantasy sub is one of the best. I enjoy fantasy, sci fi, speculative fiction, humor, horror, music and animals. Neil Gaiman and Tim Powers are my favorite style of author, but enjoy the classics like Tolkein, Leguin, etc. Lately the newish authors Katherine Arden and T. Kingfisher have turned me on. Feel free to hit me up on GR or reddit. Currently doing the 52 book challenge, which I am almost there already and will attempt to do the fantasy bingo challenge as well. TTFN

I've been in love with fantasy all my life. So I'm happy to talk to you guys about it!!

I'm hoping to get more recs from this group, and review more as the year goes on. I used to use GR strictly for book tracking, but I'm changing my philosophy and hoping to be more than just a wall flower.
