I already know what will happen...
1. I get mauled by the dog for an extended period of time.
2. I am immediately asked to make Holly fried rice.
3. I may get a chance to finally hug Hope.

Gia | 17 comments I am currently reading The Rose Code thanks to you, Jennifer! Thank you so much! :) I have so much to say about this book! First, I am truly savoring this book. I've laughed out loud and I've cried too. I am trying to slow down my reading of this book because it's going way too fast (I'm still in what others say are "the slower" parts. They say it all picks up speed toward the end. But I love reading these "slower" parts! Except it's difficult to read about Beth's experiences in the asylum). Anyway Friday this book kept me awake late at night reading, Saturday I didn't read it at all to try to slow it down but I thought about the characters throughout the day (haha!) and yesterday I was too busy to read. I always read two or more books at a time but right now I am only reading The Rose Code, so that's really something. Usually when I read a book this size I am in a hurry to get to the finish. Not so with The Rose Code; I'm in no hurry at all. At least for now, lol!

I KNOW RIGHT?!? There are two others that are in the same category with the love I have for The Rose Code and they are all vying for 1st place. I think it may be a three way tie!

The Nightingale. Prepare for an "Ugly Cry". I thought I was tough, I thought wrong.

Beneath a Scarlet Sky. TRUE STORY!

Hope I’m currently reading The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. I have not been able to properly read a book in well over a year now. It’s been really hard and so many failed attempts. It frustrated me a lot.

I finally got new headphones recently and decided to try to getting an audiobook to help guide me as I travel into a new world. Best decision is to read this book, I’ve ready 160 pages so far and that is an achievement to me!! This book is unlike anything I’ve read - it’s dark, daring and adventurous with a female heroine who is steadily rising to the top and proving her worth. Everyone looks down on her because of gender, dark skin, and social status but she’s proving herself however, I can see a turn coming and I’m excited to see how her character grows. It is beautifully written and I can just let the pages absorb me into this world.

(Bonus - no love interest! How rare is that?)

OH MY GOSH!! I just inhaled A Fall of Marigolds by Susan Meissner. It was insanely well written and the ending was the most satisfying and surprising ending. It's been on my TBR list for a while now and I am so glad I read it. I may even have to read it again... right now!

Darsh (darsh_nathawani) I am working through the Hichhiker's guide to the galaxy series by Douglas Adams. I just finished the second book, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe and I started the third book of that series, Life, the Universe and Everything.

I have already read this series once. Loved it. The world he created is just phenomenal and superbly imaginative. I started this again because I was losing interest in reading for the last couple of months so I thought I should read what I love to regain my interest.
