The story is three tales in one.

SPOILERS

One story is about a woman who immigrates from Ireland to America with her young daughter. She gets together with a guy who turns out to be evil, and she pushes him down the stairs. He killed her husband, which is revealed when her husband's ghost temporarily possesses...
The protagonist of the second story. He is gay and a musician and it is the 60s or the 70s. He eventually gets together with a guy, but is heartbroken when he finds the guy having sex with a woman. The guy tells the protagonist "You like to fuck guys. I'm a guy who likes to fuck." Afterward, he walks by the docks, is briefly possessed, and writes a song...
Loved by the third protagonist. He is rich and for his birthday his wife has hired a helicopter to take them around to see all of the places related to the other two stories. Their tale isn't as much of a story as it is a framing device.
