Shadows of the Past (view spoiler)[ I love that Arya is opening up to Eragon. Maybe they can never be more than friends, but it's nice to see how much they care for each other. Especially on Arya's part since she rushed off to find him. (hide spoiler)]

Fire in the Sky (view spoiler)[ I was really mad at Eragon for underestimating Murtagh so much in that battle. It just made him seem so childish. I hope Murtagh really will try to change himself so his true name changes. (hide spoiler)]

Finished :D Review: This book was definitely a lot more boring than the first time I read it. Seems like the whole entire time was just (view spoiler)[a journey from one place to another. (hide spoiler)] And the only thing that broke up said (view spoiler)[journey (hide spoiler)] was the (view spoiler)[attacks of the Urgals. (hide spoiler)] So pleased I got into the audio of this book, and even though I tuned out at times and got a little lost, I got it over with faster. I know the way I'm writing this makes it seem like I didn't enjoy it, but I did. I liked the narrator, the way he used different voices and accents for the characters, but the downside to him was the way he did Saphira's voice. I know she is a dragon, but when I started I read it as a normal woman's voice, not all gravelly and harsh. Eragon was constantly annoying me, and I seriously agreed with Murtagh when he said (view spoiler)[that Eragon constantly needed saving (hide spoiler)]. It's so frustrating how (view spoiler)[he didn't know how to read, he knew nothing about riding a dragon, ancient magic language or how to use magic, how to fight with a sword, (hide spoiler)] and then suddenly he's the master of everything. It's just so frustrating yet typical.

Ha master, not even close. You get to see how much Eragon is not a master in the next book lol.

Finished but I felt somewhat let down with the book. The characters were hard to love I don't know why I just can't get a good feel for them. The idea for the book is great but on audio it was way to easy to get distracted and find you had not really missed anything when I rewound. :( I hope the next book is better my daughter loved this series and I had hoped tho feel the same way.

Insubordination (view spoiler)[ I don't like Captain Edrich. He's stupid and an incompetent captain! Roran was right to do what he did, he saved so many Varden by doing so. I'm sure Nasuada will see fit to a proper punishment/reward for him. (hide spoiler)]

Butting Heads (view spoiler)[ This human-Urgal rivalry is not good. I think their leader who traveled with Eragon was right when he said his race would have to evolve or die. I'm glad Roran won over his fight with the Urgal. All of them need to focus on working together rather than fighting. (hide spoiler)]
