A girl lives in a library in the desert and books are forbidden and dangerous in the kingdom. every year people come to burn books in a sacrifice so that the library survives. the girl hears the words as they die. In this world words and books are magic.
Spoilers:
At the end she flies in a plane and sends out magical words and books to everyone and they are exactly what that person needs to hear. reading is accepted back and they library is saved.
