SOLVED. YA Fantasy. King who has magic by tugging on invisible threads. There is a girl. And a dragon.

I read this in 2016-18.

The first book had a girl in it. I can't remember if she was a princess. It's nt the typical girl gets captured by dragon then rescued by prince. I think it's like... dragon gets captures by a prince who wants to impress the princess then the princess rescues the dragon? bro idk HAHAHA

Then in one of the later books, there is a king or just some magical dude who tugs on threads to use his magic. Like he can see visible (possibly golden) threads. He's in a forest.

There is a tower later on where the princess gets captured by a witch. there might be a giant too.

It feels like a childhood fantasy world and it's a very fun and interesting book. I really want to remember it.
