There are two things that Corinne Parker knows to be true: that she is in love with Maggie Bailey, the captain of the rival high school’s cross-country team and her secret girlfriend of a year, and that she isn’t ready for anyone to know she’s bisexual.

But then Maggie dies, and Corinne quickly learns that the only thing worse than losing Maggie is being left heartbroken over a relationship no one knows existed. Four days gone (view spoiler)[ I love this interspersed narrative of after Maggie's death and seeing how Corrine fell for her. I am definitely getting lesbian vibes from Maggie but I don't think she's used a label. She definitely sounded disappointed tho when Corinne had a boyfriend. Corrine's grief is just so raw and compacted by the fact that she feels like she can't talk to anyone, it makes me so sad. (hide spoiler)]

28 days gone (view spoiler)[ ASEXUAL CHARACTER OMG!! I love Julie. I'm so damn proud of her for coming out to Corinne, and Corey finally came out to someone besides Elissa!! This is huge. I'm so happy, but I'm also sad for Corey. I know that coming out isn't easy, but I wish she'd have some hope that her friends will support her. Mostly thinking about Hailey since they've gotten a little closer since the book started! Also that convo about noticing microaggressions omg, that was everything. I hope Corinne really does better now (hide spoiler)]


Finished (view spoiler)[ oh my god. This book. I am just ripped apart. I loved it so much. All of these characters have my whole heart minus Trent he can fuck off. I am so proud of Hailey and how she did not take his shit and was like BOI BYE. Then Corinne coming out to her parents and figuring out what she wants. ARGH. I have too many emotions. I'm glad she's going to go to therapy and figure out what she actually wants instead of what everyone else wants from her. Tho I kinda wish she hadn't just given up on state :( (hide spoiler)]
