Looking for a specific type of IR book Recommendation

Hey people! I’m in a bit of a funk, coming off of some duds and DNF books. I am looking for an IR book that is not fluff, has some or a lot of angst, an Alpha (of the non-a**hole variety) and a great plot. Amnesia, cabin, mountain, rancher, military, vet, etc., OK. No surprise babies, please. Millionaire, billionaire, gozillionaire, are so pervasive, I guess I can hang with that. No MC’s, white supremacists, or super dark). Recommendations please. If this has been covered previously, please refer me to that thread. Thanks.

A few that I've enjoyed this year, not all written by Black authors;

my first by her for a long time.
* LOVED this.
* The romance was beautiful, but I did have issues with other aspects of it.
* same as above
The second in a trilogy the others are both Asian couples but this was my favourite because of the plot.

These are historicals
A Regency set away from the meat market of London society and based on an actual Black woman geologist of the time.
based around the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
* THIS was beautiful and my favourite out of all of them I listed here. Music, mafia and tons of secrets set in the 1960s. No on-page sex, but I didn't even realise until after I'd finished it.

Some older favorites:

Kiss of Fire - BWWM - he's an Irish, blue collar firefighter. She's a rich, ballerina. Class differences and age gap are the big internal conflicts.

The Question - BWWM - A woman (the heroine) agrees to be a surrogate to her bff and her bff's husband b(the hero) because the wife can't carry a child to term. Things get complicated....

True Romance - BWWMN - He is a rocker who is finding fame a little later. She is a wildlife photographer. Slow burn.

Pas De Deux: A Dance For Two - She's a ballerina he is a choreographer putting on a Broadway show. Lots of backstage drama.

Hero - He's a firefighter first responder. She is a Physical Therapist who is a widow of a first responder. The conflict comes from first she is his PT and then she has some anxiety about getting involved with another first responder.

Lock&Load - He's a computer geek/security expert she is a nurse. Romantic suspense.

Tiana Laveen came out with a few standalone IR contemporary books recently.

Theodora Taylor's AMBW triad trilogy (5 books in all) is about the chinese mafia. I personally loved the first 3 books about the mute asian don.

I would recommend “marriage of equals” by Elizabeth rolls and “duchess of Rochester” by karyn langhorne.

Not necessarily a new recommendation but when I get bored with current selections, I like to reread Theodora Taylor books. Her books have some pretty wild scenarios but there are some really good hidden gems in her 50 states series.
I’ve also found selections in Bwwm lacking this last year. So much so I’ve pretty much switched genres just to find something that didn’t involve triplets or billionaires or worse those poorly photoshopped covers with random black women slapped next to a ripped guy standing awkwardly where we’re supposed to believe they’re about to kiss even though they clearly aren’t even in the same room. I hope you find something good. I know I’ll be looking at these recommendations as well with my fingers crossed.

For a Black heroine who discovers she's a witch when a lust-demon appears in her apartment with a spell book that only she can read, check out "Ink" by Ellen Mint. There are 3 more books starring these two--in the Coven of Desire series--the 3rd one isn't published yet, but I read an ARC. These books rock! The next book is Fang, then Claw. Her werewolf boyfriend is blond and gorgeous, but it takes time for him to be okay with sharing her with the lust demon who knows what she wants as soon as she thinks it. Action, monsters, and sex scenes that will melt your e-reader! Good stuff.
