((I'm getting off for the night))

Sighing, Scarlet finished drying her hair so it now hung damp and curling around her shoulders. Sliding on her sandals, she folded the towel and draped it over her arm, once again looking to Alex as he sat comfortably nearby. "Wanna go get something to drink?"

Alexa's lost in thought when he heard Scarlets question but it took him a while to answer as he murmured "Yea. Sure." and he stood up and looked at her and instead of looking how he should, his face was in an expressionless state as his eyes were distant and glazed like his body was there but at the same he was completely there but there was something to his eyes, something earie that shouldn't be there as he turned around and began walking away

Scarlet watched him with a frown. She knew Alex could be calm, but this was something totally different. He was never this distant towards her. Worry filled in the pit of her stomach and for the first time, she had an overwhelming sense of dread. He said he was glad he had told her he had a crush on her, but she wondered if now he was regretting it. It was seriously starting to freak her out, but Scarlet refused to show it. She just needed a drink to calm her nerves. Hell, she would even go for beer right now if it was the only thing at her disposal. She began to envy the people laughing by the lake, having fun while she was filled with a sudden bout of anxiety.

Alex kept on walking until he got close to the lake where everyone else was at and he seemed to become perfectly still and he leaned against an tree as he felt as if the ground was spinning underneath him and he closed his eyes and took several deep breaths before slowly opening his eyes, his eyes and the rest of him back to normal as he looked at Scarlet with concern in his eyes and voice as he said "Are you alright?" as he took her hand in his gently. The distant look from before, it tended to happen when he was to deep in thought though he never knew why that happened.

Scarlet stopped walking when Alex looked as if he were a bit unsteady on his feet. He was leaning heavily against a nearby tree and she thought he might be about to pass out, but when he opened his eyes, it seemed the life had returned to him as he looked down at her. Was she alright? Not really, but she wasn't about to tell him that; she didn't want him to worry.
"I'm fine," Scarlet said slowly. She found herself wanting to ask him if he wanted to just forget their whole conversation, like it had never happened. Things might be better that way. They could just ignore their feelings for each other and go on their merry way. After years of keeping quiet about things like this, though, Scarlet refrained from sharing her thoughts. "Are you okay?" she countered, entwining her fingers without even thinking about it.

Alex nodded slightly and said "Yea, sorry if I was acting strange earlier. It normally happens for some reason." and he smiled faintly when he felt her fingers entwining with his and he couldn't help but wrap his free arm around her waist and pull her gently against him, resting his face in the crook of her neck as he breathed in a bit taking in her scent before breathing out a bit slowly though he made sure not to make it seem like he was rushing through things. He had know her long enough to know when something was wrong with her but he didn't press onward and try to make her tell him what was wrong, if she wanted to tell him then she could it without him making her but right now he was just enjoying being with Scarlet and holding her in his arms or rather arm.

Alex remained how he was for a few minutes, holding her in his arm with his face in the crook of his neck until he pulled back a little and trailed small but light kisses from her shoulder to her collarbone, up her neck and to her cheek as he enjoyed seeing the parts of her skin turn slightly red where he kissed her though the marks quickly went away causing Alex to smile a bit in amusement before turned his head to look at Scarlet, wanting to see how she had reacted to what he did.

Just as Scarlet had calmed down, she went still again when she felt Alex's lips moving along her shoulders and neck. It seemed he was taking advantage of her exposed skin. Scarlet's eyes remained closed, her lip parted slightly. Her free hand that was resting on his shoulder curled around the fabric of his t-shirt when his lips returned to the more familiar territory of her cheek. Her eyes opened when he was no longer kissing her and she looked up at Alex to see one of his rare grins. She felt herself blush and was happy for the partial shelter that the shade of the tree provided them with.

Alex laughed softly at her blushing and said "Seems that you liked it." as he felt his t-shirt crumpled a bit im Scarlets hand that was on his shoulder and before she could answer he moved his head again so that his face was in the crook of her neck again as he softly and lightly kissed her neck down to her collarbone, passing over several of her soft spots that were on her collarbone though he lightly licked them with the tip of his tongue as he continued planting small, soft and light kisses on her collarbone. He did realize Scarlet might slap him for doing that but he couldn't help himself as he wanted to be able to make her blush again and at the he wanted to feel her smooth skin underneath his lips again

She knew her face only grew a darker shade of red at his observation, but luckily he didn't tease her. Instead Alex put his mouth back to work, kissing a trail down her neck and over her shoulders. Her heart skipped a beat more than once and she got the feeling that what he was doing to her couldn't be healthy; a person could surely only get so hot before they spontaneously combust. Scarlet closed her eyes as she enjoyed the movement of his lips across her skin but she was pulled out of her haze when he boldly ran his tongue along her collar bone. "Whoa, there. Slow down," she breathed, her hand squeezing his shoulder to try to get his attention while her voice lacked conviction. As good as it had felt, they were still standing outside, in the middle of a party, where anyone could come across them.
((I'm going to be heading off now. Good night!))

(Kay night)

Alex managed to take off the cap and take a drink of his beer before watching Scarlet silently with an faint smile when he heard his friends come in and the next thing he knew he was being taken outside by his friends and he just went with it though he was very reluctant to leave Scarlet by herself epically without giving her an warning that he wa being taken outside

"Nah, but I think you could use some more to drink," one of them said, his voice slurred slightly as he grabbed the bottle of vodka and tried to pour more in her cup.
Glaring at him, Scarlet moved away from him, only to move closer to another, who slung his arm around her shoulder. "You don't need him anyway, we can keep you nice and entertained," the guy said in her ear, a hungry look in his eyes as his hand slid down her shoulder towards the tie that held her bikini together. Scarlet jerked away, but while she had been distracted, the guy with the vodka had managed to pour more into her cup and she ended up bumping into him, sloshing her drink over her hand and onto the floor.
"Dammit! Seriously you guys?" Scarlet exclaimed, setting down the cup as she shook the sticky liquid off her hand, trying to find a towel as the three men laughed.

Scarlet scowled, trying to reach it, but he kept yanking it out of her reach. "God, you're such a child," she snarled just before an arm snaked around her waist.
"Come on, Scarlet, you need to loosen up a bit," the guy who had put his arm around her both times slurred, tugging at the belt loops on her shorts.
"Stop!"

"Hey, man take it easy," the most sober of the bunch, but probably the most stupid, spoke up. "We're just having some fun, aren't we Scarlet?" he added with a grin, peeking around Alex as he shook the towel teasingly in her direction. His friends laughed, even the one who had only just been manhandled by Alex.

"You don't have to, man, we get it. We'll leave her alone, I swear," the ring leader said, his voice full of fear, sounding as if this had sobered him up a bit.
Carefully, Scarlet placed her hand on Alex's straining bicep, looking him directly in the eyes. "Alex, stop. Let go of them," she said calmly, trying to break through the haze of his rage.

Sighing, Scarlet looked back at Alex. While amusement colored his tone, his expression was difficult to read and she couldn't quite be sure if he had calmed down yet or not
