Gender: Female
Age: 18

There isn't a whole lot to Scarlet Aimes. She's just a free spirit packed into a petite frame, measuring in at 5'5", never having exceeded the weight of 122 lbs, her stature slim with the hint of gentle curves. She has long, dark brown hair with a natural wave and bronze highlights. Her eyes are a distinct hazel, dark green in the center but the further from the pupil it gets, the color changes into brown before leaving the entire iris ringed in a thin circle of deep red. Rosy lips stand out against a light olive skin tone beneath a straight nose on an unblemished face. Scarlet is not one to wear a mask of make up, her natural face giving off a calm demeanor and innocent vibe.

Scarlet trusted her best friend as much as her parents did, though. He had always been there for her, keeping her out of trouble or sometimes even getting her out of it. If Alex hadn't been going to this party, she wouldn't have bothered leaving home tonight.
"Try to remember that I have to be back by 12:30, okay?" she reminded him again. Despite technically being an adult, her parents had decided to set a curfew. If she wasn't back by it, they would lock her out of the house and the morning would bring a world of trouble.

She was best friend knowing her since the beginning of middle school and had taken her to several parties that had been fun but only because Scarlet had been there with him except for that one party but he tried not to remember it as he just focused on this one party where he was going to be with Scarlet, just an typical best friend thing though he had an big crush on her but he never had the nerve to tell her that.
He nodded slightly at her reminder and said "I know." as he looked at her with hazel gold eyes that seemed to be liquid and he smiled faintly before looking back at the road, repeating over and over in his head that he would get her home in time.

"Good," Scarlet said, taking a deep breath to finally set her nerves at ease. She held her hand out the open window, turning it every once and a while to catch the wind. She had never been in this area before. "Have you ever been to this place before?" she asked Alex curiously, never having been to the the lake house and not quite knowing what to expect.

The car started to slow and Scarlet felt Alex's gaze on her. She turned to look at him, eyebrow raised. "What?" she asked as he returned his focus to the gravel driveway. Scarlet had caught him watching her on the way out here his intense gaze made her squirm slightly, and she wondered when the moment would come with him lecturing her to have brought something warmer to wear.

Scarlet had hardly undone her seat belt before Alex was opening her door. She grinned up at him in thanks before getting out, bumping the door closed gently with her hip so it closed with a feint click. She knew how much Alex hated when people slammed the doors on his car. The vehicle was precious to him, but she got why he took such good care of it, considering how expensive it was.
Tugging a hair tie off her wrist, Scarlet pulled her hair back into a ponytail as she waited for Alex to retrieve the beer. The beverage was a hot commodity at high school parties, but Scarlet only ever drank when the host opened up their parent's liquor cabinets. She hated the taste of beer. But Jack Daniel's and vodka mixed with iced tea... that was her poison. Besides, those beverages were always limited most of the time so Scarlet never found herself in a position where she got herself horrendously drunk. "Yeah," she said with a broad grin, ready to join in the fun down by the lake.

She glanced down when she felt Alex take hold of her hand. He usually did this, almost like he was trying to put a leash on her so she couldn't get to far away from him. Scarlet knew he was only doing it with her best interests at heart, though. He kept her level headed, always watching out for her. It made her immensely happy that she was the only one he did this with, she was the only one he cared enough about to keep safe and at his side. Unfortunately, it also slowed her down.
"Come on, I want to go swimming before the sun goes down!" she urged him on, trying to tug him along, though it was pointless. Alex had nearly a hundred pounds over her; he wasn't going anywhere he didn't want to. As Scarlet tried to pull him down towards the lake, she felt people watching her, but when she looked up, there was just a group of guys standing around with half empty beer bottles, all of them not looking at her. It was probably just her imagination.

Looking away when she heard her name being called, Scarlet saw some of her friends coming out of the lake towards her. Though they were calling to her, however, their gazes were pinned on Alex. He drew them in like a friggin' magnet. She resisted the urge to purse her lips into a thin line, feeling a deep satisfaction when Alex only seemed to focus on her. He was worrying as always. For whatever reason, he seemed to not trust his fellow men, but she knew how guys could get when they had a few beers in them and she didn't want to be around that either. Looking to her friends, they were all agreeing eagerly and Scarlet looked back at the cliff. There were a few people already there. It was about 15 feet high at its lowest points and some people were using it to jump off into the lake, using the rocks to climb back up. Well, it could be fun, she thought. "Sure."

Grumbling, she accepted her fate until she was finally put down on the ground. Scarlet glared at Alex as the blood rushed out of her head, leaving her a little dizzy. Her attention was drawn by one of his friends as he leaped off the cliff into the water. Some of the guys that remained on the cliff were trying to make Scarlet's friends jump off with them, but they wouldn't budge, too scared and opting to sunbathe instead. Sometimes her friends didn't know how to have fun.
Kicking off her sandals, Scarlet reached for the button on her shorts to tug them off before looking to Alex. He had his eye on the part of the cliff that was at least 25 feet high and she frowned when she saw the look on his face. "Don't even think about it," she warned him. She was all for cliff jumping but anyone who jumped from that high was just stupid or crazy or both.

Scarlet remained where she was, glaring up at him, knowing his mind was set as he pulled off his shirt. The sight of his bare upper body caused her heart to skip a beat and warmth to blossom deep in her stomach, but her mood did not improve when she heard the catcalls from her friends and the girls by the lake. Scarlet remained silent, frowning up at her best friend as he approached the edge of the cliff. Come on, Alex, don't be stupid...

Alright, it was her turn to have some fun. Stepping away from the edge of the cliff and out of Alex's sight, Scarlet kicked off her shorts by her shoes. Rolling her head from side to side as if she were stretching, she headed back towards the cliff, picking up the pace until she broke into a run. Her friends were yelling at her not to do it, as if she shouldn't be doing such things because she was a girl, but she ignored them. Her feet left the rocks and she executed a simple swan dive, several moments passing before her body sliced through the water. The lake was colder than she expected and Scarlet shivered quickly kicking up towards the surface. Wiping the water from her eyes, she saw that she was only a few feet from Alex and she splashed water over at him as if to punish him before turning towards the rocks to climb back up.

Letting her head go below the water to try to cool herself off, Scarlet composed herself before grasping a hold of the rock wall and pulling herself up and out of the water. When she got back up to the other's, her friends were complimenting Alex on his dive, grinning up at him flirtatiously from where they were spread out on the cliff. Scarlet rolled her eyes as they admired her best friend's wet body. As much as she was also enjoying the view, she was happy to see that he had retrieved his shirt and hoped he would put it on so her friends wouldn't have so much to look at. "Don't encourage him," she scolded the girls, trying to glare at Alex as she wrung the water out of her hair.

(Sorry. Kind of starting to forget what else to say)

Scarlet figured that after saying it three times, he would have corrected himself if it wasn't true. Alex really had feelings for her. His smile was growing and it was mesmerizing and coupled with his words, it made her bold, probably bold enough to jump off of suicide cliff. "Well... I've kind of had a crush on you too," she said, not quite having the courage to look at him as she said it, making sure her words were quiet so her friends wouldn't be able to eavesdrop as they sunbathed.
