Hi,
This was a book I've read some time ago, can't say when though. There were a few books in the series and this particular scene wasn't in one of the first books.

There were a few girls who had different powers and some kind of prophecy where they had to join their powers to stop something.

Each of the girls found a guy pretty early on in their books, the one I remember most was the girl with visions - she was living on the street and would fall asleep each time her visions came along. She had a vision which told her she had to get somewhere really quickly, so started making her way there. She met a guy who had a motorbike and he drove her, but because she'd fall asleep at the drop of a hat, he would thread his arms through her backpack and hold her on that way.

I think one of the other girls had the power to read minds? Maybe
