I never saw this! It's my first Sarah Dessen book too lol I liked the movie, they just changed some things that I didn't like much.

Yep. Some of those are ebooks, some of those books I own. I've been 'currently reading' Beauty since 2019, Hush, Hush since 2021, and Demigods and Magicians since 2021. Some of those I started Fall or Winter 2022. And some I started literally a week or so ago lol XD I'm awful at finishing books.

Okay, I finally finished It Ends With Us yesterday, and......I don't know what to rate it lol It's so confusing tbh I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. It was better than Without Merit, but it still wasn't great. I think there are better domestic abuse books out there. Also the fact that this book won the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance in 2017 kinds of concerns and baffles me. Lily was also somewhat dumb. Not on her situation itself, and how she handled it, but moreso how she handled her relationship with Ryle as a whole. I will write a full on review for it here in my nook, so I'll elaborate on that when I write that lol

Ugh same. I wasn’t a fan of It Ends with Us and haven’t gotten around to any of her other work

I'm reading Maybe Someday and Confess now. I also checked out Verity, so we'll see lol I'm just reading them because I can tbh

Started reading Verity because my loan for Confess expired, so I started Verity because I can lol

I'm 31% done after 2 hours of reading, and I must say, if this book continues down the route it's currently going, this is going to be my least favorite Colleen Hoover book, which is saying something considering I really disliked Without Merit

Finished Verity hours ago. Finished it in like....6.5 hours. Read the bonus chapter as well. And it literally makes no sense. I'll share a review here in my nook soon.

In my opinion :)

Hmm, maybe. I'm a fast reader. I've gotten faster over the years. Used to spend the majority of my time between 7-9 years old reading and all that.

However, it does kind of help that Colleen Hoover's books are really easy to read. I still don't care for them, but the way they're written and the language used makes them appeal to a wider audience than a lot of books. Let's just say that CoHo books would not be considered "smart person" books lol

I haven't read Collen Hoover books before, but I've heard a lot of people like them. And I don't think they would be known as "smart person" books as well :)

A lot of people do like them. I'm kind of in the minority for that lol I really don't. Verity was my least favorite of all the ones I've read so far. No, they wouldn't. They aren't Shakespeare or Jane Austen lol They're decent though.

Katherine (catthehuman) | 8 comments Same over here, some of her characters are just...annoyingly dumb. But the writing is easy to read. CoHo books aren't life-changing but they are good leisure reads.

Yeah, honestly the quick nature of them is the best part, because then I can feel accomplished about reading a novel 🤣🤣 But honestly, I don't really care for her books in the slightest. There's only one I like, and it's the one a lot of CoHo fans don't like, ironically enough 😂😂

I just finished reading A Court of Thorns and Roses, and umm.....what?

I dislike Tamlin, Feyre isn't as intelligent as she thinks she is, and I absolutely despise Rhysand. I know what happens in this series as far as relationships go, and I am not looking forward to reading the rest of the series for that reason. I think this really should've just been a standalone fantasy romance novel. It would've been much better that way. Which yes, I'm already voicing my opinions of ACOMAF and ACOWAR before reading them, but considering I know how the series goes already, I already know I'm likely going to end up hating it.
