I am conflicted between Homegoing and The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row."

I loved The Sun Does Shine, it was an amazing book. I haven't read Homegoing yet but I have heard great things

I've literally never been more jealous of anyone in my life. Going to the Globe theatre is at the top of my bucket list! Is it as cool as it seems?

Abby | 270 comments I kind of forgot I was doing this lol. I get to pick from Sharon's list. I've been in a slump since, like, January but Halfway There caught my eye. I'll try to get it and read it this month.

It really is. I highly, highly recommend. Go in the stalls and it costs 5pounds a ticket for a world class ensemble, in the (almost) place that the plays were originally performed, and 3 hours of entertainment. People bring around beer or icecream for you to buy.

I thought that it would be all hyped up, but I am now planning on going every time I get back to London (in season of course), and am super annoyed I missed out on my first two trips there.

We saw Twelfth Night, which is one of my favourite plays, and I have decided I cannot watch it again as I've hit the pinnacle with that one.

Abby | 270 comments I love Twelfth Night!!! It's my favorite play with As You Like It as a close second.

Glad you were able to find one. I must admit this one piqued my interest.

Thanks, Emma. That's the one I ended up reading. It was so sad but an insightful read.

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Although I still want to read Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter From TrudyAn’s list, I don’t think it is going to arrive in time. I went back to the list and selected Thunderstruck by Eric Larson. This book was not on my TBR list, but three other titles by this same author are. The ebook was available from my library and I have downloaded it to my tablet.

Janice (jamasc) | 59948 comments Thunderstruck sounds interesting, Cherie! I hope you enjoy it.

I'm curious. When you order a book from the library and it is delayed for your purposes, like Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter, do you cancel the hold, or do you read it when it comes in?

message 110: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 3029 comments I am looking forward to your thoughts on Thunderstruck as well. I have read/listened to a few of Erik Larson’s books, and quite enjoyed them all.

I usually read it when it finally comes in. ;o)

I think I have added the other Larson books to my TBR because of you, Jenn. I think we talked about two of them, at least. ;o)

Thanks Margo for getting me hooked on another series. The Space Between Worlds was really good!

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I have added several of the reported books from this challenge to my TBR list. LOL!

I will bump that up my list though the last thing I need is another series!

Christina ❤️M❤️ (christir1159) | 1 comments If my book doesn't come in by the 15th... I will have to pick again. Here is me crossing my fingers. I have Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine available as the backup.

Is it this one? The Plot
If so, this one sounds really good! Added it

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Like all good plans, I decided that the wait for Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter was not going to be available in time, so I switched books. I just got a notice that the book is NOW available to download. I am 38% into Thunderstruck. It is not what I expected but the history lesson of wireless communications and Marconi is interesting although I have way more questions than what is being answered. I am going to continue reading it, but also download CL,CL. I have two other books that I will defer to “later”.

Ayacchi | 1726 comments I've finished my book but will try to read another before reporting it in case I can squeeze one to my museum.

The Globe is amazing we have done both the old theatre and the new one in Stratford. The actors are so close to you.

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I don't think I'm going to manage a book for this challenge after all. I'm in a very picky mood and each book seems to take me forever.
