I read this last month and thought it was fine. The standout aspect for me was the made-up words the main character created in an attempt to sound smart.
Only £2.49 in the UK kindle store atm - not bad!Don’t really know anything about it but I’ll give it a try.
Yeah, the kindle version is only EUR 2.99 in Germany as well. Which is good, since there is no audible version.

It's also available from LA County Library on a three week wait. They usually overestimate by one week. I expect to be reading this in early August.
There's even a hard copy available in my town library if I want to go that route. I don't, but there are many ways for people to access this book. Including, ya know, paying. $12 at Amazon, about the price of two Starbucks coffees.
Is the book a Dark Academia novels draw from the genres of satire and tragedy genre.DR. Amy H. Sturgis is doing a deepdives into the Dark Academia.
Current projects on Science Fiction, the Gothic, Dark Academia, Star Trek, & Star Wars. @hpcomics_ editor. @signumu .

I don’t think so...?
So far it seems like a humorous fantasy adventure story.

I tried this one when it was in our final four for March, but didn't end up finishing it. Not a judgment on the book itself, more of a personal taste thing. It wouldn't be a book I'd typically pick up.

You are right it is a humorous working class wizardry fantasy genres which is on a borderline of satire and tragedy.
I'm about halfway through. Fast read. Won't get into specifics until the month changes tho.One day after I tagged it in LA County library it came in. That means a whole lot of people decided to wait on their hold and it went to me. Ah, libraries, how unpredictable you can be...
AndrewP wrote: "LA County Library also has the audio book on Hoopla with no wait."Thanks for mentioning Hoopla - I always forget to check there.

Francis x wrote: "Also can anyone explains the book art cover."Those are all things which are important to the story. To detail them would spoil the story.
I turned in all my saved coins for the Amazon gift card that Coinstar offers. $54 dollars in the jar so I just brought the kindle edition thanks to my not wanting coins in my pocket at the start of the day.
