I also got a widget for Something I Keep Upstairs by JD Barker. I usually love his books, especially his MK thriller series, but I didn't care for the last one I read by him with James Patterson (The Noise). The end was just too weird. Plus his books tend to be pretty long, so I skipped the last couple of widgets. I have a feeling that I enjoy him more as a thriller writer than a sci-fi/fantasy writer, but since I skipped the last two I'm considering this one. It is 489 pages and publishes in May. It sounds more like a horror maybe, but at least it doesn't seem to be co-written.
I also got The Locked Ward! I love her books so I'm excited to read this one.
Awesome a good group of us! Definitely will be doing a buddy read in July!

My current list of TBR from NetGalley. Other than We Meet Again (which I grabbed as a Read Now after the publication date), my goal is to get each book read before or around the publication date and get the reviews out.
I just got the new Lisa Gardner book
Kiss Her Goodbye - very excited. she is a must read for me. I just LOVE the character of Frankie Elkin.

I just got The Man Made of Smoke. The approval came through about 10:30pm on Friday night. :) I always think it's strange when approvals come thought in the middle of the night or on the weekends. It must be the only time they have to go through requests.
I got “The Girls who grew big” by Leila Mottley, quite looking forward to starting that. And a romance called “slow burn summer” (penguin) by Josie Silver and still on my shelf “Very Dangerous Things” Lauren Muñoz (YA whodunnit)

Nice. Lilisa! I have a few that have been pending forever. I may request a few new ones. I also have a couple of widgets I was hesitating on that I should go back and take another look at.
I have some pending ones too, Kristie, but luckily they don’t publish for a bit, except The Case of the Elusive Bombay Duck, which I got approved for and downloaded at the end of February. I’m reading it now as it published last week!
