Jeff | 3 comments I read this book in 2008 or 2009. It was a black basic hardcover book that looked like it might have been missing a dust jacket. Blank on front and back, with a title on the side that I can't remember. It looked and smelled like an old book, similar to how Andromeda Strain smelled. Could have been published sometime between 1960 and 1985. I don't remember a lot about the inside of the book itself, but I know it was about psychedelics and exploration of one's own mind. A specific thing I do remember about the book is the author talking through a lot of it about being an "astronaut of inner space". I have tried hard to find it but no luck so far. I left my copy of this book at someone's house once and never got it back.

A lot of the books I see by him look very close to what I remember so I think it's really possible it was one of his books. I will keep searching for now. I wonder if one of his books or if a lot of them talk about "astronauts of inner space", but it was a book that stuck with me in bits and pieces even after all this time, so it would be great to read it again all the way through.

Jeff | 3 comments I really feel like the book could have the word "transcend" in the title somehow. I remember the book vividly visually though, rough and black like a hardcover of Andromeda Strain, with uneven edges on the pages. The smell of the book was very similar. Gold text on the side . If it isn't the word transcend or a variation of it, then it has to be a similar word he used in the title or subtitle if it had one. I'd still love to look at this book again,
