SOLVED. YA Fantasy Dystopian Cinderella like story. [s]

The story is about a girl who is friends with a mechanical small horse with wigs and other mechanical creatures that she found in a hidden workshop room in her house that belonged to her mom who was also able to repair things well. Her mom died at some point and her dad remarried to a step mom who really does not like her with two step sisters (why it feels cinderella like). Main girl has to hide the creatures form step family bc they would want to sell them and tehy hate her mother. There may also have been a war happening or something the rest I cant quite remember.
