This was a YA Book about a girl named either Tess or Tessa - a rural life, and some boy who thought he was in love with her I think. The book's title I believe is just her name. I read it in the early to mid 1990s so it had to be published before then, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It felt like it was about the 1940s-1960s in theme, but that doesn't mean it was written then - it could have been written any time before the mid-90s. The cover I believe had the titular character with strawberry hair and a floral sundress. Does this ring a bell for any one?
