New York Crime Novel published 10-20 years ago. Maybe part of a series. Way in the background the Beatles were reuniting.

I read a crime novel maybe 10-15 years ago - I think it was part of a series. I remember thinking it was well done but I cannot recall the name of the book or the author.
It took place in New York and maybe even specifically Wall Street. I think the writer wrote for the Wall Street Journal.
I think the main plot may have involved a kidnapping. The one fairly minor detail I recall is that in the background of the main action, running like a thread through the book, The Beatles were reuniting for a concert. I don't recall if there were other"alternative history" aspects to it.

Does this admittedly vague description ring any bells for anyone? Does anyone have any good ideas or other websites or message boards where I could ask this question?
