Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2026 comments For Roadblock: read a book with a prepared food on the cover - did you have only savory dishes in mind or would cupcakes, cakes fortune cookies and similar foods work as well?

I thought so far to use one of these:
1. Single Dad's Waitress (Main Street Single Dads #1) by Amelia Wilde 2. Pancakes and Corpses (Peridale Cafe Mystery #1) by Agatha Frost pancakes
3. Cappuccinos, Cupcakes, and a Corpse (Cape Bay Cafe Mystery, #1) by Harper Lin 4. Sweet Saboteur (The Cozy Café Mysteries #1) by C.A. Phipps 5. Killer Cleavers & Cupcakes (Cruise Ship Mystery #1) by Mel McCoy cupcakes
6. Murder On The Menu (A Recipe For Disaster Cozy Mystery, #1) by Zanna Mackenzie 7. The Icing on the Cake (Cooper Glenn #1) by Rosemarie Naramore 8. Chocolate Cake and Chaos (Peridale Cafe Mystery #4) by Agatha Frost cake
9. Murder & The Monkey Band (High Desert Cozy Mystery #1) by Dianne Harman 10. Murder at Stake (Old School Diner #1) by Constance Barker 11. The Long Paw of the Law (Ashley Crane Mystery #1) by Laurie Anne Marie 12. Murder to Go (Food Truck Mysteries #1) by Chloe Kendrick 13. The Potluck Club (The Potluck Club #1) by Linda Evans Shepherd can't say what it all is but looks like prepared food to me
14. Murder on the Menu (Nikki Hunter Mysteries, #1) by Nancy Skopin salat (plate)
15. Murder al Dente (Southern Pasta Shop, #1) by Jennifer L. Hart 16. Poison in Paddington (Cassie Coburn Mystery #1) by Samantha Silver savory, but not well visible
17. The Fiesta Burger Murder A Spicy Cozy Mystery (A Burger Bar Mystery Book 1) by Rosie A. Point 18. Pasta Pinot & Murder (Willa Friday Food & Wine Mystery #1) by Jamie Lee Scott worst case ideas

I numbered all the covers so if you want, you can just list those that work (or don't work for you) to make it a bit easier :-D

Agnieszka, I can't tell what number 13 is either, so that one won't work. All the rest look yummy fine.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I am all out of back-up players. Do you want me to send out a message to TCF members asking for a replacement player, or do you want to finish the challenge with 4 on your team?

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2026 comments I have a question to the 'No starting before Wednesday' rule

During the weekend I started a book that would fit one of the tasks the comming week. If I re-read the first chapter (only 9 pages - so I'd be willing to do it) could I stil use it or is it too late for that book?

You can use the book if you restart Wednesday morning.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2026 comments Janeylou & Lanelle, our team just got a request from a person asking to join. Since one of the teams is a person short I thought you could be interested to know. I asked them to re-post their request to join in the sing in thread.

Emma | 169 comments For this week’s location task, I have a book I’m keen to read that is exactly 400 pages. Will this do or does it need to be more than 400?

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2026 comments I have questions to two tasks (I don't know yet which one I'll complete)

Roadblock: read a book where the MC goes swimming
A) I have two books in mind but none have a clearly defined MC but a team. If one team member goes swimming would that be enough, or would it only count if the entire teams does it?
The books I'm considering are:
Paid In Blood by Mel Odom
Proximity: A Novel of the Navy's Elite Bomb Squad by Stephen Phillips

B) My other possibility would be according to Kindle book search:
Though Not Dead book 9 in The Kate Shugak Investigation Books 10-20 Box Set by Dana Stabenow (pages in book set: 2075-2509) unfortunatelly when I continued after 'She moaned' I realised it's a very realistic dream/nightmare and she's not actually in water (see quote behind spoiler taggs). (view spoiler) Would that still count?

Mission: read a book with a one-word title
Do book titles with sub-title (e.g. Proximity: A Novel of the Navy's Elite Bomb Squad) count here too or only 'clean' one-word titles (e.g. Incorruptible)?

If there is not a clearly defined MC, then it needs to be the whole team.

One-word book titles with subtitles count.

Is it enough to be told?
