That book will work.

Historical Fiction and Historical Non-Fiction is just fine.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2024 comments A question to the 'Free Choice' tag. What do you want me to do if we have two team members having the free pick. One of the members had her pick to even out the distribution. Now we covered all tasks and our new member has a free pick as well. Do you want me to mark the first one or the second one?
(Or even better I mark both and should one of them be eligible for bonus points you just pick that one for us *grins*)

It's been years since I read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I can't remember if any of the characters are religious.

Mark the second person who took free choice as "free choice".

No worries, since I disabled the option to show all my posts automatically in my update feed they cause trouble and often don't appear as unread messages anymore. I tried to find out how to set it back but somehow can't find it :-(

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 2024 comments Would these covers Carpe Diem, Illinois (Leo Townsend #1) by Kristin A. Oakley Only the Truth by Pat Brown The Eagle Tree by Ned Hayes work for the Roadblock (read a book with two or more complete trees on the cover) for you too?

Question to the mission task (page #) I'm always using the current page # on Amazon for my Kindles. If I add a link to the Amazon page would that work for you as well. Or do you accept only the GR page # for my edition.

message 113: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 787 comments Same question on the trees. Do illustrated trees work? Such as:

500 Miles from You (Scottish Bookshop, #3) by Jenny Colgan or You Have a Match by Emma Lord

message 114: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 787 comments Also what about forest shots or do they need to be distinct trees?

Such as: America for Beginners by Leah Franqui or Small Country by Gaël Faye

I like the 2nd and 3rd covers the best.

I try to avoid page number tasks since there are so many variables; no pages numbers, incorrect page numbers, audio listeners, and so on.

When I do use page numbers as a task, I have to use some sort of standard. It's easiest to use Goodreads since we're here. I would prefer GR's page count of the version you are reading. If there's no page count, then from a different site is okay.

Shelly | 640 comments I’m so sorry Lanelle
I’m just going to say that right up front.
This task has me so undecided as to what I’m in the mood to read. So I’m going to show you 3 more covers to see is any of them are acceptable:
Lemon Drop Dead (Amish Candy Shop Mystery #6) by Amanda Flower The Dead Cat Bounce (Home Repair is Homicide, #1) by Sarah Graves (bonus points for “CAT” in the title 😂) and/or A Hoe Lot of Trouble (A Nina Quinn Mystery, #1) by Heather Webber (the last one has been on my TBR pile for ages, some might say years.

Wanda (wanda71) The Grand Canyon is mentioned in my book but not the Grand Canyon National Park. Would this be acceptable?

I also have a question about boat. In a book that I would like to read the couple travel in a small motor boat. Would that be acceptable?

Rosina | 138 comments Question about

Roadblock: one team member had to paddle a kayak with their team member and all their luggage down the river - read a book where the MC uses luggage, a trunk, or a suitcase (something that is designed to hold clothing while traveling)

Would this be allowed.

I spied a large steamer trunk...inside was stuff he collected over the years and that he carted around .... inside was a stacks of comics, a fine wool blanket

I was waiting to see if someone was going to post their report late, and then my daughter-in-law had a baby and I got distracted.

Thanks for the reminder.

On a personal note: I have a new granddaughter. Alexandria Gayle was born yesterday afternoon at 3:44. She was 6 lbs and 15 ounces, and 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing just fine.

This grandma has been trying to keep up with her older brothers and sisters while daddy and mommy are at the hospital.
