Samantha and Nayeli's July Twin Reads Log
Hi! I’m also really excited! I really have know clue how many books I want to read, it really all depends on how long the books are and how much free time I have.
Okay, can I call you Sam? We should see which books we already had decided to read for July and maybe we could read some of those together. My list goes like this:
1- The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue a standalone book of any genre.
2-The House in the Cerulean Sea a standalone book of any genre.
3-Clowns Vs. Spiders a standalone book of any genre.
4-Harvest Home a classic.
I'm open to suggestion so please tell me if you had something in mind for July
All these books seem like great options! Do you wanna add people we meet on vacation by Emily Henry as a stand-alone?

Bhavya wrote: "Which book are you’ll reading? :)"I think we are starting with the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
Sam, how do you want to read? Should we set a number of chapters for each day or go at our own pace?I'm okay with starting The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue today
Nayeli wrote: "Bhavya wrote: "Which book are you’ll reading? :)"
I think we are starting with the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue"
Ok thanks! Added your book.

Ok thanks! Added your book.
Sure that sounds perfect! Do you think we should check in through here once a day? What time zone are you in? I'm in UTC-3We could agree on a time to check-in
I really liked how the author switches between the present and the past to show us how Addie ended up like that.I feel like the words are beautifully written to
Did you like it so far?
I really like it so far, I feel like it’s also beautifully written. I think I have to read a bit more before I have a full opinion on it but what I read until now is really good.
Yeah at this pace I think I'm gonna get somewhere near the middle of the second part by tomorrow!!It's really exciting seeing how things unfold
If you want you can come and comment on here even if it's not our accorded time I will sure be fangirling over the book anyways
Oh I also love how there is a piece of art at the start of the first part That's quite unique, I don't remember reading a book with those characteristics before
Yes that piece of art was really interesting, I’m curious if it maybe plays an important part in this book.
Yes, I’m up to chapter 3 in the second part and I’m curious to see what he brings to the book. Because he’s the most secondary character the book has focused on
yes!! I think he is gonna be a love interest or something like that. Also, he "disappears" a lot, did you see how he talked about feeling stormy days? I didn't expect it but it seems like the book is gonna touch upon some mental health themes.
Yes I see that! I’m now up to part 3 and it seems like Henry is also hiding something, i’m wondering if he has also made some deal, kinda the same as addie?
Hi I’m up to chapter 5 in the 4th part. I was wondering if you maybe wanted to read the midnight library as our next book?
I thought we were going with people we meet on vacation next I already read the Midnight Library a few months back ⬅️
wow I was kinda expecting Addie to go through things at the beginning but it still was sad to read ir from her perspective
okay, I see why you think Henry might be in something like Addie He is fishy and has this thing with people finding him perfect
Hahaha I was gonna write how Henry made the same kinda deal but I didn’t wanna spoil it. I’m scared to see how this ends I feel like it’s gonna be sad

Hello everyone, for the month of July 2021, we are having several different challenges at the same time.
The original ideas for these were suggested by Niharika when our group hit 700+ members, and we had promised to implement it in July. The credit for the main ideas goes to her, but we mods modified the ideas to make it work effectively, as we are a much larger group than we were then. :) Thank you so much for that, we really appreciate it!
We’d also like to give credit to The Midnight Readers as they were the first ones to start the ‘Twin Reads Challenge’, and the credit to the name also goes to them, though we are making some changes from their original challenge.
The first part to this 3 part challenge, is the twin reads challenge. In this challenge, two people will be paired up together to read books of their choice. To keep it fair, we’ll also be asking you to mention your preferred genres of reading while signing up, so that you can be paired with someone who has similar reading tastes. We will be allotting your team member.
Here are the rules for the challenge-
The team can read a book from the following options.
1. It can be a standalone book of any genre.
2. It can be published between 2010-2020.
3. The pair can decide a particular author to read from.
4. The pair can read a classic.
5. It can be with a black and white cover.
Books that won’t fit these categories won’t be counted. The reason for these rules is to keep the books chosen more precise.
The pairs will be expected to read books from these particular options. You don’t have to fit all of the prompts, just one of them is enough. We recommend reading books from the public domain so they are accessible to everyone.
Point System
Completing each book gets +20 points.
We are including points for the page count-
Books between 100-200 pages will have +10 points
Books between 201-300 pages will have +20 points
Books between 301-400 pages will have +30 points
Books between 401-500 pages will have +40 points
Books between 501-600 pages will have +50 points
And so on. Books below 100 pages will not count.
