sure, no problem
yep! that sounds like a plan :)) do we start on the foxhole court immediately tmwr? oh and also what time zone are you in? it’s currently almost 9pm (Wed) at my place
also for some reason, i am terrified of starting “It Ends With Us”, “the priory of the orange tree” and “the sky blues” 😭 probably because of the fact that i’m stuck in a book slump and i’m worried that i won’t find the motivation to finish these books … so i’m sorry about this :(( and i don’t usually read classics oops 😅
but please continue suggesting books we could read, maybe the books you suggest could pull me out of my reading slump :D and also i’m looking forward to reading the Foxhole court :))

yes, i'll start tomorrow morning :)
My time zone is EEST (i live in greece) and it's 4pm (Wed)

ooh it's okay don't worry :) we can read anything else, i don't mind

yes i'm really excited for "the foxhole court" too!
i'll keep recommending more books :)
Book list tbr (confirmed)
1. The Foxhole Court
2. To Sir, with love
what pace are we setting for the books? :)) i read at a moderately pace usually? like 3-4 chapters a day

I don't mind. I checked "The foxhole court" and it has only 250 pages so I think I'll probably finish it today or tomorrow. If you want to go slowly I don't have a problem :) I think we should aim to finish each book in 3-4 days? What do you think?

We're starting The Foxhole Court first :)"
Ok thanks!

Ok thanks!
thank you Bhavya! and also hi nefeli, i’m 4 chapters in, and i’m super intrigued about Neil’s character and history so i’m currently enjoying the book :)) the fact that he could be discovered at any moment is keeping me on my toes
and sure! i think i can aim for 4 days, max 5 if i’m really busy 😭
and also what “limit” would you suggest?

ahh yes same

great! I have a lot of free time since it's summer and I don't have any other obligations so i don't mind. I'm 150 pages into the book and I really like it so far! I might finish it tomorrow because I'm really interested to see how it'll end but you can read on your own pace. 4-5 days is perfect :)
My holidays just finished, so I might not have as much time to read 😭 but i’ll try my best :))

ohh it's okay, don't worry about it :))
It is way more dark than I had expected, and damn I have super mixed feelings about Andrew and Kevin … and I kinda hate Nicky oh god
also the plot twist on the game show where riko showed up??? i’m ready to murder kathy

ok now we can move onto the next book xD it’s to sir, with love right?
I’m actually loving To Sir, With Love?? I usually don’t gravitate towards comedic contemporary romances but for some reason… it’s just so interesting to see them both being completely oblivious xD

yes i'm starting it now :)

yes i think it is!
However, we get 20 points for completing a book and +20 points for a book between 200 and 300 pages so i think you should put Total points: 40
ummm —— i think i was too excited to read To Sir, With Love… and I um, finished it 😭 in one sitting

Hello everyone, for the month of July 2021, we are having several different challenges at the same time.
The original ideas for these were suggested by Niharika when our group hit 700+ members, and we had promised to implement it in July. The credit for the main ideas goes to her, but we mods modified the ideas to make it work effectively, as we are a much larger group than we were then. :) Thank you so much for that, we really appreciate it!
We’d also like to give credit to The Midnight Readers as they were the first ones to start the ‘Twin Reads Challenge’, and the credit to the name also goes to them, though we are making some changes from their original challenge.
The first part to this 3 part challenge, is the twin reads challenge. In this challenge, two people will be paired up together to read books of their choice. To keep it fair, we’ll also be asking you to mention your preferred genres of reading while signing up, so that you can be paired with someone who has similar reading tastes. We will be allotting your team member.
Here are the rules for the challenge-
The team can read a book from the following options.
1. It can be a standalone book of any genre.
2. It can be published between 2010-2020.
3. The pair can decide a particular author to read from.
4. The pair can read a classic.
5. It can be with a black and white cover.
Books that won’t fit these categories won’t be counted. The reason for these rules is to keep the books chosen more precise.
The pairs will be expected to read books from these particular options. You don’t have to fit all of the prompts, just one of them is enough. We recommend reading books from the public domain so they are accessible to everyone.
Point System
Completing each book gets +20 points.
We are including points for the page count-
Books between 100-200 pages will have +10 points
Books between 201-300 pages will have +20 points
Books between 301-400 pages will have +30 points
Books between 401-500 pages will have +40 points
Books between 501-600 pages will have +50 points
And so on. Books below 100 pages will not count.
