Reed’s partner, Sylvie Morrisette, has already researched the Montgomery family extensively, including Josh Bandeaux. He suspects she might have had a fling with Bandeaux. Did you?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments There was definitely something off about her obsession with Josh Bandeaux.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I didn't buy that she did the research for her friend. I thought Sylvie had a fling with Josh. If the research was only for a friend, she would have been more upfront about it with Reed.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I didn't like Sylvie Morrisette at all. She rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning. But, I didn't think she had had an affair with Josh.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) She was a bit of a flakey character for a Police Detective so something was going on, an affair seemed quite likely at this point.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments She just didn't strike me as his "type".

I thought she was hiding something. Maybe not a fling but something. Maybe she’d made a play for him and he turned her down?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Good point Jonetta. Maybe she was angry because he slept around so much, but turned her down.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9292 comments Mod
Possibly so. She’s got a fragile ego when it comes to men in her personal life.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments That certainly fits.

Lynn (ftbooklover) Her near obsession in knowing all about him made it seem as though she was at the very least, interested.

This makes the most sense since I could not understand why she would care who he was sleeping with. Her friend being his ex did not explain the extent of her issue with him.

Was this ever properly explained?

No, not at all.

Anita, I had problems with her as well. And I never warmed up to her. She seemed too abrasive, and I didn't see a lot of examples of her good police detective work. I wonder if she will continue to be a partner to Detective Reed.

Jonetta, I think that's a great theory - that Josh turned her down. It definitely would have explained her obsession with him. I didn't think her friend's fling was enough to explain her reactions when he was involved.

If that’s not what the authors intended, they really made some errors with this character.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I'm the only person who thought she was a funny character. Maybe the author didn't want me to laugh. If I cared, I'd go back and re-read some of her scenes to see what go me.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9292 comments Mod
I’m referring to the insinuation that there was more going on with her and Josh.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Sorry I agree with you. I thought I was responding to the other Sylvie question.
