I would say definitly for teens and probably for adults.
Is the girl younger than 18?Was it an e-book?
It's a book about a girl who was raised in a secret Order of assassins. In her last year as an apprentice she is trained by her teacher to also become a carpenter. ( I believe the assassins are named after some kind of demons everyone fears) She and her teacher travel together to her first mission in a city. She is in love with her teacher. Who happenes to be the nephew of the head of assassins. On the way she starts seeing a big cat calles Ravi. He follows and protects her. He can also turn invisible and they communicate telepathically. (I think she has two haircolors and it is definitely later revealed that she can also do some kind of magic) In the city she lives with a family. They have a daughter. Her disguise is going to school and helping as a carpenter. (I think) And her secret job as an assasin is to arrest a man. It later turns out the man is her father. But it's too late. She than meets a group of other magic people like her and one of them is her brother. They travel together to the land she originally came from. Her brother is married. She learns that her mother just disappeared one day while pregnant. She was abducted and held captive. When the girl went into the forest something weird happens. She has strong magic and can therefore connect with ancient being in the forest. They are of the old race. (and I think they were dead and kind of ghost like) The group and the girl than want to go and free her father. The order is very evil. And secretly want to free a demon or something. I believe the demons were trapped in a realm with something like angels and these angels were also the reason the race of the girl had magical abilities. I think it was a trilogy.
That the Order were some kind of Assassins was not that much of a deal. It was more about her discovering her magic, family and culture and how to protect her realm.
I`ve read this book in 2020.
