Looking for book read in the last 10-12 years - main character is a middle age man in a future where digital technology and fast consumerism has caused the younger generation to digest information in the form of quick reads or synopses. Like only reading tweets or article titles. He starts a fling with a younger woman, I swear her underwear has like a button you push? She gets frustrated because she can’t read and retain information as presented in books, which aren’t really around anymore, but the main character has them. The fling eventually ends and this fast reading culture starts to give way to actual reading again?

Hi Caitlin -- A couple of questions that might jog a few more memories loose: When you read the book, do you have a sense of whether it was new at the time or older? Do you recall anything about the cover? Anything about why no one reads (government suppression, mental changes, etc.)? Do you recall any words, or names of tech items, from the book? Do you recall why people begin reading again?
