Thanks for that interesting review Alex. My second effort in the series was a bit rushed and I kind of wondered if readers would feel some of the flaws you mentioned in your review. Plus there were some other changes I wanted to make in hindsight as well.

I'm also re-orienting my writing style towards the reader's perspective at all times (show, don't tell, and all that), so I'm going to re-write both of the Team One books in a new style when I get a chance, still don't know if they'll end up as masterpieces though! Lol.

Interesting to hear of the Three Body-Problem, I hadn't heard of that Chinese trilogy from 2006 before. Though history abounds with incompetent military leaders stumbling into wipe outs (Custer, Operation Barbarossa, Trafalgar, etc.) So I meant the commander to be something of a cliché who lets the Shezrians get off to a running start when they otherwise would not have, for that feeling of lost opportunity and suddenly increased urgency for the readers. Are you in South Africa now? I think I set the Team One books to US distribution only, plus I was in the process of taking them down to rework them some. Stjepan in Croatia also couldn't see the link.

Thanks for the review S.D. Reeves, that viewpoint is quickly becoming the consensus, and I almost feel guilty subjecting the other authors to my pre-editing incarnation of writing!

Having mostly written only in professional environments in forms such as project proposals, white papers, and IT system analysis documents, I am still quite new to writing as an entertainment product.

I dusted off the Team One books so that I could participate in this Out of This World forum, and I'm so glad that I did, since the concepts, authors, and feedback I've been introduced to here have been invaluable.

I have several other projects underway now to apply lessons learned to.

And we can expect Team One to re-emerge sometime in the distant future in an entirely different (and vigorously edited) format.
