I'm done with my review for actually Round 4! Stjepan promptly sent me his pdf file, while my assigned 1st Round author (ahem! Havana, ahem, ahem!) has not yet sent me her file.

I'm going to move on to my Round 2 author, Diana Peach, since I have her book right now, but I will get started promptly on my Round 1 assignment once the file arrives. (ahem!)

Just a quick reminder to EVERYONE to make sure you get copies of your book into the hands of your reviewers as quickly as possible regardless of the dates of the rounds your books are assigned.

Remember, some people read more quickly than others and need the books ready to go when they are.

Another point to note is that the rounds and the dates are only a guideline. It's nice if you can follow along in the order you are given just so that everyone gets a review every round, but it's not a requirement. If you haven't received a book in time, you are definitely free to move on to the next book and come back to the other one later.

Hi Trish,

In your post above you allude to the idea that having a review when each round concludes is somewhat of a benefit. Why is that? Just to have ongoing activity relating to our books over the 4 month period? I suppose that's more desirable than getting 4 reviews all at once then no more action around our works until we start promoting them some other way. Is that the idea? Cheers

Thanks for the question.

My idea was really that as we pop up a review for each round, we get one for our own book. Of course, some people read faster, which is fine, so it doesn't always work that way.

When time allows, I take part in a round that I'm modding. I know when I've already received all 4 of my reviews but still have two books to go myself, I feel less incentivised.

I don't know whether getting all 4 reviews at once is better for the promotion of a book or not. I hadn't really considered that.

On the Goodreads book page, find your review then click on 'see review' just below it. This will take you to a page with just your review on it and that's the link I need to be posted here. Remember to shorten it so it finishes with just the numbers (delete everything from the ? onwards)

To get your Amazon links, click on the view review option (I can't remember the exact words) on the confirmation email they send you. That will take you to the right page. If you don't have it, then go to the Amazon book page, scroll down to the reviews and find yours. Click on the first line/title of your review that's in bold and you'll get to the page.
To shorten an Amazon review delete everything in the URL from ref onwards.
