I remember very specific details, like a prologue of the main character being born and the nurse assisting in the birth knowing that she was going to be magical due to her eyes I think? I remember the girl having a childhood friend that no one else could see, cause he was a ghost and only she could talk to ghosts. I also remember the twist at the end being that the headmaster was the villain and he needed the girls power over the dead to perform this special spell.
