History: Before Camp
Light. Thunder. Screams. Sirens. That's how it all happened. In a daze.
It was midnight, on a stormy night. Raiden, for some reason, was outside, her 6-year-old body drenched from head-to-toe. That's when the lightning struck. Rosa Gale, realizing where her daughter was, rushed out of her house, her scream of terror filling the air. She dove for her child, just as the lightning hit them. Two screams sounded through the rain, through the crash of thunder; one of pure terror, the other, pain. Sirens wailed, just barely audible over the rain and thunder. All they ever found was a girl, a young girl, crying over the dead body of her mother. No one would figure out why a small child, a 6-year-old, survived a lightning strike, when the older, healthy woman couldn't. But Raiden knew. She knew she was special, that she was different, but she never figured it was anything real.
Homes. Families. Dogs, lawns, siblings, beds. Raiden bounced from house-to-house, never staying with the same family for more than a few months. For one and a half years, she stayed at eight different houses, eight different schools, eight different families. It was terrible. Eventually, Raiden got tired of it all. She ran off, and never looked back.
At Camp
Half a year after she left, Raiden appeared at camp, bloodied by monsters, without a satyr guiding her. She had help, though. Her father, which she later found out to be Zeus, felt terrible about killing Rosa, Raiden's mother, so to make it up to both Rosa and Raiden, Zeus guided her through monster-infested cities, through dark alleys and cold nights. Finally, she reached her destination. Scars along her left shoulder, bicep, knee, shin, and even one across her cheek remind her of her "adventures" out in the wild.
Even now that she was at camp, she had a few adventures. Both involving a broken-down chariot and Zeus' fist in the woods...but that's for another time. Raiden's lonely. No one really seems to want to befriend her. But she wouldn't stop. She laughs at the jokes her siblings make and picks herself off the ground and fight harder every time she falls. Sure, she's lonely. Has no one to talk to. But maybe someone will decide to be nice for once.

Daff is approved =) My only question is regarding her gender. They is normally used by non-binary people, as well as some trans and gender fluid people. Because of this, would Daff technically consider herself/themself female, or would she/they identify more as non-binary or a demigirl (identifies as only female and agender)? I'm leaning more toward demigirl, however this is up to you as Daff is ultimately your character and I have no right to tell you what her gender identity is

Other: Jade is frequently seen wearing braces on her wrists, especially after using her hands a lot. She has a white cane that she intends to paint on. She's also thinner than most 17 year old girls her age.
Personality:
Jade is a sensitive soul. For being a child of Poseidon, she's surprisingly very wise, which earned her the nickname 'Old Soul Sierra' from her mother when she was little. Jade is caring and kind. Jade tends to internalize everything, which tends to worsen her pain. She's self-conscious, particularly about her disability. She's frequently worried that campers are going to call her a faker and say that she's seeking attention because she doesn't always use her mobility aids. But the truth is that the severity of her disability just varies day to day. She tries to avoid using her mobility aids as much as possible, which can frequently lead to her limping extremely and forcing herself to deal with excruciating pain instead of using a tool she has the right to use. She's incredibly empathetic, being able to feel other people's emotions as if they're her own. This causes her to isolate herself a lot as she wants to avoid stress as much as possible, which is a trigger for her chronic joint pain. She can make friends, but finds it difficult as she has a hard time understanding people mentally, due to her being gifted. Jade absolutely loves swimming. This could be for multiple reasons. 1. She's a child of Poseidon, 2. Water helps her joints and makes her feel good, or 3. Both.
She has both depression and anxiety, as those medical conditions tend to accompany people with chronic pain and autoimmune disease. She tends to feel helpless. She's fiercely independent. Despite how difficult it is for her to make friends, if she does make a friend, she is super protective of them.
Her mother's death (read her journey to Camp Half-Blood under History) affects her deeply, leading to grief and depressive episodes for her. She is the kind of person who tends to blame herself for everything. She also thinks of 'what if' scenarios. If she didn't have issues, maybe she could've helped her mother. Because of her autoimmune disease, she has a love-hate, on again, off again relationship with her body.
She's also very self-conscious about her body due to being underweight for her age and height, something that she is frequently bullied for.

History:
Life before Camp Half-Blood
Jade was born to Maria Serrano and Poseidon. She was born in Phoenix, AZ. When Jade was 2 years old, she was diagnosed with polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis after experiencing unbearable pain for over a year. She was certified disabled at the age of 5, though she didn't use a wheelchair or cane frequently.
Jade's mother bought her a wheelchair and cane when she was 9 years old because her condition and joints had worsened. Because Jade is a demigod, she grew up being attacked pretty frequently. She and her mother frequently traveled to throw off monsters. Unlike most demigods who find out about their half-blood lineage when they're around 12, Jade's mother told her when she was 10. This had both positive and negative effects. Jade better understood why they never stayed in one place for too long, and she understood why her father was never around. However, because Jade knew, monsters became more likely to attack her, and the monster attacks became more frequent.
Journey to Camp Half-Blood
During one trip, she and her mother were attacked by a hydra. A lot of demigods deal with monsters like dracanae, but because Jade is a child of the Big Three, her threats have always been ten times worse than an average demigod's.
Her mother sacrificed herself to save Jade from the Hydra at the bottom of Half-Blood Hill. A satyr had intercepted Jade and her mother on their way to Camp Half-Blood. The satyr led Jade the rest of the way to camp. Jade has been a camper at Camp Half-Blood for 6 years.

Hera is one of the virgin goddesses who doesn't have any half-blood children. Hera doesn't willingly have any children without Zeus being the father. Hera is loyal to her husband. The cabin she has at Camp Half-Blood is simply commemorative and a symbol of respect, so Hera cannot be Reign's mother. Minus the godly parent, Reign is otherwise perfect =)
For her personality and looks, I'd more so recommend Apollo or Athena, though you can choose pretty much any god or goddess, save for Artemis (unless there's a believable reason why a virgin goddess would have a kid; like a champion/adopted kid instead probably), Hestia, and Hera.
