Ansley can be the sweetest, most soft-hearted person you will ever know in the summer, but then she could be harsh and mean like the winter. Since she isn't entirely human, her personality, emotions, and feelings change like the colors of a leaf. Only her Artemis and her huntresses ever actually understood her small dilemma. Even though she can be a hurricane, that has never stopped her from trying to make friends. Her first year at the camp had been difficult, but she had made it through.
Now at the age of nineteen, she has been named counselor of the Artemis creations or children. She enjoyed her job, but there were only one or two "siblings" that she had. And most of the time they all ignored each other. Ansley only ever feels truly like herself and confident when she is alone in the forest or with the huntresses or her mother. There she can truly be her leafy self. She is down to earth to loves to create connections with animals and plants alike.( strengths ) fast runner, good with bows, intelligent, orderly

" do you ever ask yourself, do monsters make war?
A leaf swirled in the wind. Its colors shaded like those on the ground. Dark red, an almost crimson color filled the leaf. But there was something special about this leaf. Gold specks decorated the tears that were threatening to break the leaf apart. This leaf danced with the breeze, twirling and swirling. It seemed as though it had its own mind, like a personality of sorts. A possibility had been opened that it could have been a human in a past life.
As this special leaf moved through the draft, it landed on a grave. Nothing should have been particularly noteworthy about this grave, but looking closely the stone read, "Ansley Hwang - born June 9th died June 9th" The birth and death date was exactly five years apart. The leaf had been the girl all those years ago. She visited her grave often wondering if what was left of her family would come and visit. They never did and so with each year, the leaf with golden flecks changed. Each year she became a new leaf with different colors, but always with the same golden flecks.
This year shouldn't have been any different. The leaf scattered its way on its birthday to the grave. This time, the leaf had gained the attention of a beautiful goddess. Later it would be found out that she was Artemis. This goddess had noticed the flecks of brutal gold on the green leaf. She gazed at it as it made its way to the girl's grave.
As the green and golden flaked leaf landed upon the earth, Artemis walked up to the grave, reading what was engraved on the stone a small tear dropped from her golden honey eyes. This tear was filled with blessings that landed upon the leaf bouncing unto the earth that laid on top of the grave of the little girl.
Something stirred inside of Artemis that left her standing there watching as the leaf flew into the breeze. But before the leaf could get far the golden specks began to glow. Not only the leaf but the name on the stone began to glow as well.
The small clear tear that had dripped onto the grave and the leaf had fused the two together. Now as fog, earth, dust, and water came together a small girl was formed. Hair black as the night and eyes changing shades with the sunlight. The girl that had died had been reborn from the leaf that held her soul.
Artemis smiled at her new creation. Once a dead little girl, then a golden leaf, and now a girl blessed with magic. Now was the hard part. Artemis did not know that the girl had been blessed with the ability to communicate with animals so she left the girl at a house that she knew had the last name, Hwang.
The woman that had opened the door to the laughing five-year-old stared back at the body of what should have been her dead child. It seemed impossible for a girl that looked like the little girl that she had cared for all those years ago. Elise Hwang took a deep breath and welcomed the small girl, Ansley, into her home. But as the small blessed child began to grow she became an upset to her adoptive mother. As her powers began to grow, Artemis became worried that the Hwang mother would kick her creation out of her human home. So one night, four years after placing the girl there, Artemis snuck into the Hwang home and stole the child. She took her to Camp Half-blood. Where she knew that she would be welcomed with open arms.
Now at nineteen, Ansley has grown to welcome her creators love. At first, it was weird not understanding where you had come from and who had made you. After all, Ansley was different from the rest of the demi gods. Though she was in fact a demi-god, she wasn't half-human like the rest of them. She may have a human outside appearance but inside her wild leaf soul remains.
And as for Elise Hwang, she had another child. One that was fully human. She would never forget her first child or the fact that she had been reborn. But as time flew, she buried that part of her history inside the back of her heart.( powers )

With this power is able to communicate and understand the thoughts of all animals. Most animals feel an instant connection to Ansley upon meeting her.

History: Her mother had her when she was 20, they lived in a cute country home, and they raised live stock. At 12, her wings grew in so her mother told her a little bit about her history year by year until she was 15. Then when the full story was out, she was offered to go to a place called ‘Half-Blood Camp’. She didn’t want to at first, but after a month or so of contemplating she agreed to, as long as she could see her mother at least twice a year. Her mother’s birthday, and Christmas.

appearance: vinnie has light blue, almost white eyes that contrast with his sienna-toned skin. his hair is a grayish color that looks unnatural, but it has been that way since he was born. he used to be very proud of the way he looked - not full of himself, but confident. he has prominent bone structure and a well-shaped face. he is 5'11, a very average height if not a little short for a demigod. he doesn't care much about his looks, but he makes sure to stay fit and strong. he likes to feel capable. ever since the attacks he experienced on his way to camp, however, he's had some deep scars marring his face, neck, and chest. the most noticeable is the scars running across his left eye, running from above his eyebrow sideways to right under his nose. it went through his eye. though he still has vision, it is blurry, and his eye is damaged. the scar is a dull whitish color. the two scars on his chest go the same direction, from his left shoulder across his collarbones to the right side of his waist. there is one scar on his throat parallel to the one on his face.
personality: vinnie is pretty confident. he is strong and capable, and he is pretty aware of that. although, he is also able to admit to his shortcomings and step down when he isn't up to the task. he tends to push himself very hard to improve. he can sometimes seem detached or flighty. he is a deep thinker and likes to use his head instead of his heart. he doesn't tend to get attached to anyone. he is not super dependable, as he listens to his own whims quite often, but he recognizes importance where it is due.

history: vinnie was raised by his mother in a rural, country area. his mom was pretty attentive, caring for him and his younger siblings. his half father was alright. he cared more for vinnie's younger siblings than vinnie himself, but he always understood his father's preference. the family was in the lower middle class, living off of farming, so when vinnie was twelve, he helped his family on the farm, using his newfound abilities. he would notice strange things some days when he went to school - shadows following him, weird noises from around the corners, etcetera. eventually, a hydra attacked his family home, aiming for vinnie. he managed to fight it off, but couldn't kill it, and tried to protect his family for as long as he could. one night, it snuck up on him and caused him extensive injuries. it killed his younger sister and the family dog. vinnie ran, knowing the hydra was after him, and eventually it lost his trail. he was found by a satyr and escorted to camp.
