Scenes: I remember two scenes, in one a girl doesn't shower for so long plants start growing on her so she eventually showers. In another, a child refuses to eat their whole meal, so their mother puts increasingly small portions (to the point of like mouse-sized meals) which the kid eats half of, until their too tired to participate in the town parade--which makes them want to eat.
