Hot Chocolate Confessions (aryadrottningu) Read this book back in 2012-2015. I found it in the Juvenile Mystery section of my library.

This request includes SPOILERS!!

So what I remember is this:
-The story is told by a boy who is being interrogated/interviewed by an agency (FBI or CIA).
-Chapters put together by the interviewer asking a question, and then the story continues with the boy's answers. Almost like a transcript.
-He was hired to track down a hacker, but turns out the hacker was the one who hired him.
-He is a computer/hacker genius, who works with a group of high school friends, (I think 2 boys and a girl).
-He was inspired by Tolkien, and created a language, which he uses in an online group called the "Booger Boys".
-He works in his dad's computer shop, and they contract for Microsoft.
Other Details:
-The cover was covered in lines which resembled a circuit board.
-I don't remember if the author was a man or a woman
-It did not seem old, so publication was most likely in the 2000's or late '90s.
