Csilcsalpfuzike | 22 comments I've read it about 3-4 years ago.
The protagonist was a teenage girl who became a cat against her will. Maybe about halfway through the book she learned how to change back into human form at will.
As a cat she's soon joined by another cat who later turns out to be her father in cat form.
The main plot is that they are searching for something while being chased by a cat clan for some reason.
(It's not a Warrior Cat book by Erin Hunter though.)
In one chapter she's compelled to go to a house party (in human form ) that's held by someone she's doesn't like, so when nobody sees her, she changes into cat form and ditches the party.
It was a rather thick book.

It's not:
Paul Gallico - Jennie
Mike Grinti - Claws

Part of a series?
What country were you in when you read this book? Language?
Time period/location story takes place?

The cover was entirely blue. This hue:

It depicted the characters from the book, humans and cats both.

It wasn't a part of a series.

The story takes place in our present.

I've read it in Hungary, in Hungarian.

I guess it takes places somewhere in Europe. There is a small town that's bordered by a meadow and beyond the meadow there's the forest where the girl flees to in cat form.

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5548 comments Cat and the Stinkwater War by Kate Saunders? It has been translated into Hungarian, with the title Cicus és a Büdös Macskák háborúja. The cover of the Hungarian edition shown on Goodreads is purple, but when I googled the Hungarian title, I found an alternate cover with the same design but bright blue.
