I read this book around 2013-2015. the main character was a teen girl who didn't know her father but she finds out that he is a famous rockstar and I think she compares him to gene simmons. She moves out to L.A. to spend time with him and I'm pretty sure there was a scene where she's sitting on a bench eating ice cream.
