SOLVED. YA. It's about 2 indian sisters who move to the US (I think new york or massachusetts) With their mom and dad. I dont remember any names :((( I do remember much of the plot and details. [s]

I read the book in 7th grade which is about 2018-2019 tho I'm not sure if that's when it was published, The two indian sisters struggle with problems at school like making friends, I remember specifics of the plot like the Main character (one of the two sisters the younger one I believe) falling in love with a boy during a school trip to a different country. There's a part in the book where the diary the MC was writing in is discovered by her mom who saw it out on the patio while it was raining and went to go bring it inside. The mom reads through it however and its whole tragedy after where the MC gets grounded. Much later on in the book the MC's parents get a divorce and much later on her dad dies. Does anyone have a clue what this book might be called?

The mother is an extremely conservative indain mom and she ends up clashing with her younger daughter [Main character]. She liked her dad a lot because of how easy going he was. The dad would often argue with the mom because she'd say he was too careless and never took anything seriously.
