I looked at mine: 957 Approved | 752 Feedback Sent & 79%

This year I am DNFing. I'm treating these like library books. I read DNFing will affect percentage, I will find out. Now you have me wanting to count mine by year. 😉

Teresa | 30 comments That would be a good reason. I am going to give them a whirl and see what I think. :-)

Donna Davis (seattlebookmama) | 142 comments My oldest is The Graveyard Apartment. I received it September 8, 2016, and it was published October 11, 2016. And yes, I am going to read and review it!

It's hard to make it through the backlog, because I prioritize books that have a publication date in the near future, since those are the authors for whom I can have the best impact (or occasionally, the worst.) I have multiple books going at a time, but the slot for backlog books is usually filled by one that has come out in audio, so that I can read it while my hands are doing something else. But I will get there.

My feedback ratio is 90%, so there's no heat, but I like to keep my commitments.

If you use the Will Not Give Feedback option then yes it affects your ratio because it doesn't count towards your ratio (i.e. the book is removed from your shelves but your feedback sent number is not increased).

I avoid using the Will Not Give Feedback option and just write a short DNF review, basically just a few sentences saying why it didn't work for me. My long-term goal is to get to 100% on my ratio and you can't do that if you use the Will Not Give Feedback option so I won't use it.

Agreed. I use it for specific situations, such as a corrupted file or some other problem that literally prevents my successfully downloading and reading the book. If it's not a fave author or a book I want to read come what may, I will not track down a book outside of NG. If they want me to read it, they have to furnish me with a readable galley.

So far I've been given 1,017 galleys. I have DNF'ed 5.
