I’d really love to be on team with my nieces. Katie Reittinger, Megan Whiting, and Molly Rosenbaum — but will do my best on any team I’m assigned.

Here are the prompts, if you all want to start prepping your individual TBRs. Enjoy!

THE CHALLENGES

Atari Affair
1. Read a book where the MC or author is Black
2. Read a book set or published in the 1920s
3. Read a book that takes place on a boat
4. Read a book with water on the cover
5. Read a book with under 1,000 GR ratings

Wii Wonderland
1. Read a book where the MC or author is gay, lesbian, bisexual or ace/aro
2. Read a book set or published in the 1960s
3. Read a book with dual timelines
4. Read a book with two or more people on the cover
5. Read a book with a 4.5 or higher GR rating

Nintendo Trial
1. Read a book where the MC or author is Asian or Pacific Islander
2. Read a book set or published in the 00s (1800-1810, 1900-1910, 2000-2010)
3. Read a book that features a road trip (this does not have to be a car road trip)
4. Read a book with only words on the cover (minimal to no design)
5. Read a book from a long series (over 4 books in the series)

Sega Crusade
1. Read a book where the MC or author is not cis gender
2. Read a book set or published before 1900
3. Read a book that features a revolution/rebellion/protesting
4. Read a book with flowers or birds on the cover
5. Read a book that has been on your TBR over 3 years

Playstation Pursuit
1. Read a book where the MC or author is Latinx or Indigenous
2. Read a book set or published in the 1980s
3. Read a book where the MC needs to solve a mystery
4. Read a book with a woman on the cover
5. Read an independently published book (that is, not from the Big 5 or their imprints)

XBOX Experience
1. Read a book where the MC or author is Muslim, Hindu or Jewish
2. Read a book set or published in the 1940s
3. Read a book set in the summer
4. Read a book that has sunset colors on the cover (primarily red, yellow or orange)
5. Read a book with over 10,000 GR ratings

Question but the page number rules for graphic novels does it mean the graphic novel has to be over 100 pages or that the halved number of the graphic novel has to be 100 pages?

ha that should read 150 pages, but bank error in your favor. It stays at 100.

That is 100 pages before the halving, for 100 total pages. So if you read a graphic novel/comic with 100 pages it would count for 50 pages.

Buddy read points count as long as the buddy read takes place within the group. It doesn't have to exclusively be with teammates. At least this is how it's been in the past so I'm sure that's how it'll be this time around too!

Yes, please. If any spots on a team open up (if that's even how it works) please tell me! Or maybe there are enough people that didn't sign up in time to add one to each team? I don't mean to complicate things, but from the sound of it, there are a few people who would still like to join a team. But please ignore me if it's too much too late, that last thing I want to do is make your life harder!
