SOLVED. Help me find this book. [s]

It's a book about a family who loves books. There is no mother, only a father and his daughter lives with many books.The father never reads a book to his daughter. The daughter asks him to read a book but he doesn't. He sometimes reads a book out loud, but only when he is in a locked room by himself. Later in the book, it turns out that when the father reads a book out loud, his voice makes something in the book switch places with something or someone outside. The mother had been switched with something in the book. That was why she wasn't there. Father tried over and over but could not get his wife out of the book. He was afraid he would lose his precious daughter, too. So he never read out loud when he was with her.
The daughter called her father "book doctor".
That's all I remember..could anybody help me find the title of this book?
