Lynnie | 16 comments I got this book as a present from my grandma in the 1990s, but the illustrations I remember seemed to be reminiscent of the 1920s or 1930s. I remember the cover being green (maybe just grass?) with illustrations of animals. I definitely remember a horse (the other animals I believe were farm animals or other animals frequently seen in America, not elephants or anything like that) I also remember a girl (perhaps she was a doll?). I remember one story involving a pie.

I want to say the main character / narrator was a rabbit and he was very anthropomorphized and dressed as an old man with maybe a hat and cane? And I'm pretty sure his name was Uncle something. It was very Uncle-Remus-like but I don't *think* his name was Uncle Remus. If it was, it was definitely an updated version. I think he was in the center of the front cover, sitting on a stump

V (thedigitho) | 5 comments This is a long shot, but does anyone remember an Uncle Wiggily album of nursery rhymes? I think the cover was green, and the only song I remember is "I've Been Working on the Railroad/Someone's in the Kitchen with Dinah." Any and all help is appreciated!
