April TBR Knockout MODIFIED RULES-PLEASE READ

I realized a lot of people were confused regarding the challenge, so this is to clear up all the rules. EVERYONE TAKING PART PLEASE READ THIS.


You’ll need to compile a tbr by today (April 1st), with a min of 5- 10 books in your log. If you read a book from that list, you’ll get +1 points along with the other points mentioned below.

You can read books that are not on your tbr, but in that case, you won’t get the +1 for knocking it from your tbr. You will still get points for the pg count, buddy reads and reviews.

You can add more books and modify your tbr anytime.

Rereads count as well.

Books that you have started before April WILL count as well, as long as you finish it in April

The books can be of any language and any genre. They only need to be a list in your tbr.

The page count, buddy reads and reviews for DNF's will count as well. (only the number of pages you have read)

We thought to do this challenge, as everyone here has a never ending tbr! :)

This is the point system-

100 pages or below - 1 point
200 pages - 2 points
300 pages - 3 points
400 pages - 4 points
500 pages- 5 points
600 pages- 6 points
700 pages- 7 points

And so on.


+3 points if you write a review
+3 for buddy reads in this group
+3 for April BOTM of THIS GROUP


When you log your books please put them in this format:
Title:
Author:
Pages:
Review: (optional)
Buddy Read (optional):
TBR- yes/no-
Rating:
Total Points:

You will need to log books in BOTH your personal log, AND in the universal log here-

The number of pages read will count for dnfs will count, along with a review/buddy read if there is one. :)

Between 100-200 or below 100 is 1 point. :)

We cut down on the points for star ratings. It no longer applies, as I felt they are honest opinions and should not have points. :)

Quick question, is it allowed to submit manga in the challenge? Manga is basically Japanese comic books so it's got a lot of drawings for the most part with some text in every page

Oh, do one thing.
Go to google chrome in your phone and search up goodreads.
Then log into your account.
When it opens, scroll at the bottom.

There will be something like ‘2021 inc’ and below that there is an option of ‘desktop version’. Click on that.

It will take you to desktop mode.

Then you can look up the book you wrote a review for, and you will get the link.

Copy paste your link and paste it when you log your books.

If it still doesn’t work, then I’ll check your profile for the review. :)

b>An update- 21st April 2021- PLEASE READ

Hello everyone! This time I have logged the books from the individual logs, as it was easier to calculate the overall points from there.

I had to do it for over 50 participants, so it took me some time and hence I kept a message in each log when the points of the particular participant was added.

All points prior to the message, logged in the correct format in your individual log, have been added.

-Some participants have not logged any books in the individual log, and it became difficult for me to find the exact points so I have not added points for those participants.

-Some participants have also not logged books in the format given by us, and I have not logged those books either as I can't sit and pinpoint every singe detail for each book. That would take a lot more time.

-If you have logged incorrect points in your individual log, then I have logged the correct ones according to the modified rules; thus star ratings and reviews under 50 characters do not count.

-In case you have forgotten to specify if the book was in your tbr or not, then I have not counted the 1 point for knocking it off your tbr, as I cannot look at the tbr of over 50 people to check this.

-In case you have forgotten to add the +3 points for BOTM's, which were The Cruel Prince and Crooked Kingdom then I have added those points to the scores.

-In case you have logged a book in the universal log, but not in the individual log, then those books have not been added.

The leaderboard of the points from 1st April to 21st April will be updated in a while.


I hope you all understand and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There is still time to log the books in the correct format in your individual logs, so please do so as soon as possible, before April 30th so that I can add them.
