Now, I’ve read a lot of good reviews about this book. I really hope that it lives up to the hype. 😎Zain

I just finished reading this book. I don't read much comedic-horror but this book was hilarious and silly. I laughed through the entire book. It was a very quick and easy read.
Which horror film is Painter from? My brain is hurting trying to work it out. I recognise the rest but can't work it out. I can only think of the Candle Cove characters.
I really only got started on this on Monday. oh so wonderfully gross at times but also funny.
The Geiko chainsaw commercial keeps coming to mind:

You have good taste. It's one time Geico hit it out of the park.

Question for those reading this - GR says the ebook is 108 pages but Amazon says 242. Which is correct?
Good question. My kindle won't recognize pages for this book for some reason. But it felt very short, so I'd guess 108 pages.
It’s fast paced, that’s s for sure. I’m about a quarter of the way through and it’s okay so far. I’m guessing this is a tongue in cheek homage to Jason Vorhees?
I'm at about 60% now and will probably finish at lunch time. It's okay and I've had the occasional laugh, but...meh. We'll see though, maybe it will finish off with a surprise ending?
So I bit the bullet and spent .99 of my Amazon credit on this. I have to agree with several others, it was amusing, but not really all that and a bag of chips. I think the author tried too hard to be funny in every sentence and fell flat because it.

I wanted to like it more than I did. I mean, it was okay....but that's about it.
I ended up DNFing this book at around 20 percent. The whole comedic aspect just didn't do it for me, and I agree with Alan and Char that it was too much. I would have liked it more if the humor was sprinkled throughout the novel instead of it being a full-blown comedy.
